Sigh, what a world!

Today, while cycling, I accidentally crashed into a small convenience store. A metal bar in front of the door got slightly bent, and the owner immediately ran out, yelled at me, and demanded that I pay him dozens of bucks! I was really upset at the time. It's just a piece of broken metal, what's it worth, dozens of bucks? And the metal wasn't even damaged, so I started arguing with him (reasoning with him was like talking to a wall). In the end, a woman came out and said it was fine and told me to go, but the man stubbornly insisted that I pay the money (I suspected the metal bar might have already been bent). Seeing more and more people gather, I didn't want it to escalate, so I paid to settle it… Sigh, now I'm wondering if the world has really changed! I also realized a truth: in this society, wealth and status are becoming more and more important, and if you don't have them, others treat you like dirt! If today, it had been someone driving a BMW or a Mercedes who accidentally scratched something, I highly doubt they would have been treated the same way as I was! Although society now emphasizes equality, I dare ask, is it really possible? I think there are a few reasons why this happened today: 1. They saw me as young and easy to bully. 2. I was in the wrong first. 3. It's all about wealth and status.

Sofa, as long as you know
The kind of male boss like that is just a minority, so don't take extreme views. As long as you're at fault, even if you use all your tricks, it won't work.
Run into bad people! Generally, people who do business won't bother arguing with you about these things.
Feeling depressed, I got another lesson.
It seems that there are fewer and fewer good people like me in this society.
OP, don't lose confidence because of this; there are still many good people in this society.
Most people in (Country Z) are shortsighted. Brother Yuan, you don't need to be too upset. They are petty, so just be magnanimous and listen to some music.
I'm fine, I just needed to vent a little.
Stay calm, OP
Forget it, just think of it as spending money to learn a lesson. However, don't think that owning a BMW means everything will be all good; you should understand about staged accidents, right....
