\Plot Summary: "Rise of the Planet of the Apes 2" takes place 15 years after the first film, telling the story of a deadly virus spreading across the world. Only a small portion of humanity survives this catastrophe, and they now pose a threat to Caesar's army of highly evolved apes. Although both sides reach a brief but fragile reconciliation, a fierce war between humans and apes is about to erupt over the absolute domination of the Earth. In this installment, "Caesar" attempts to introduce humanity into ape society. Judy Greer, known from "The Descendants," will play Caesar's new girlfriend Cornelia. The human cast undergoes a major overhaul in this film: the previous lead James Franco exits, and newcomers Kodi Smit-McPhee, Toby Kebbell ("Wrath of the Titans"), Enrique Murciano ("Black Hawk Down"), and Kirk Acevedo ("Fringe") join to form the core of the "human resistance."
