Dota gameplay is the same as LOL, it belongs to Blizzard, so the hero prototypes are similar to Warcraft. Dota 1 was just a map of Warcraft III, while Dota 2 is a standalone client, and the graphics are also very good.
Dota, compared to LoL, has more last-hitting, no summoner skills, equipment generally has active skills, and is harder to control.

If you want to play Dota 1, just download Warcraft 3: The Frozen Throne, then search for a Dota map on Baidu, download a map that has computer players (i.e., AI), put it into the maps folder in the Warcraft directory (maps in English, I hope I didn't get it wrong), and then go into Warcraft custom games and select that map to play. If you want to play Dota 2, just search for Dota 2 on Baidu and download it from the official website. However, I heard that the Chinese server has a lot of issues.
