Attack on Three Kingdoms is a cute-style strategy game. Not only must your attacks be fierce, but your defenses must also be rock solid! Today, the guide I'm bringing for players is on how to set up a defensive formation.
【Defensive Facilities, Priority Protection】
Everyone knows that the most important thing in this game is 'resources.' With resources, you can upgrade generals, train troops, and produce equipment. Therefore, many players, when arranging defenses, first choose to protect resource facilities while neglecting the protection of defensive facilities. However, such a defensive formation is easily broken by enemy forces! This is because if defensive facilities like arrow towers, Celestial Masters' Stages, or Thunder Cannons are destroyed by the enemy, it will greatly affect our defensive firepower! When the levels of generals on both sides are similar, once defensive facilities are destroyed, this battle is basically lost!
【Military Facilities, Selective Protection】
Many players tend to ignore military facilities like the General Platform and Barracks when setting up formations—because they seem to have little impact on the defensive situation. Although destroying military facilities does not cause any direct losses, their position in the defensive formation directly affects the timing of troop deployment!
This game is different from ordinary strategy games; generals are the core and essence of defense. If generals are not placed inside the defensive building group, how can you take advantage of the defensive facilities' firepower?
Moreover, if your defensive army mainly consists of Southern Barbarian Sorceresses and other ranged units, I recommend placing the barracks deeper inside the formation to ensure more comprehensive defense when plundered. Particularly, the Southern Barbarian Sorceress is currently the most powerful unit for defense. Her role is not to kill enemies but to deploy little pigs to delay the enemy, providing an advantage for the defensive facilities and generals' output!
【Bomb Placement, Many Techniques】
Many players like to scatter bombs, which leads to very few enemies getting killed in the end. I recommend concentrating bombs so that multiple bombs' power is combined, allowing you to kill many enemies at once.
There are two choices for bomb placement. The first is to place them around defensive facilities, closer to the deep part of the formation, to be used as a trump card after a general 'sacrifices,' which is a more opportunistic usage. There is another tactic, which is to place bombs at the outermost edge of the formation, in the direction where the enemy is most likely to attack. After the enemy sends troops, the first few waves are depleted by the bombs, and the following troops are dealt with through the output of generals and defensive facilities.
