Yongqing Register - Chinese Overseas Territories

During the mid to late Qing Dynasty, China had many overseas territories. However, now all of these have vanished into nothingness. According to incomplete statistics, China had the largest territorial holdings in the world during the mid to late Qing period, even surpassing the then-rising empire on which the sun never set—Britain.\Dai Yan State: The historical records of the Dai Yan State are not as complete as those of the Republic of Lan Fang mentioned yesterday. Dai Yan existed for over 100 years before being destroyed by Dutch invaders (the Dutch destroyed most of the overseas Chinese-established countries, and the editor has a serious hostile sentiment toward the Netherlands). This country adopted a hereditary monarchy system and had a total of four kings. This short-lived kingdom has been deeply buried by history. If the Qing government had supported the overseas Chinese governments, would the world only have these few Chinese nations now? Dai Yan is truly tragic.\Zhang Jiexu's State: Zhang Jiexu, a Chinese from Chaozhou, established a state on Ambon Island, but the country's name was not determined. After Zhang Jiexu's death, the state collapsed due to internal conflicts.\Wu Yang's State: A Chinese named Wu Yang established a kingdom without a specific name on the Malay Peninsula. In the 19th century, it was destroyed by the eastward-expanding British.\Siam (present-day Thailand, unfortunately no longer ruled by Chinese; the founding emperor of Siam was Wang Zhengzhao, a Chaozhou-Shantou native from the late Ming and early Qing periods), the Srivijaya Kingdom, the Pala Negara, and the Sukuh Kingdom of Java.\Now, the only remaining one is Singapore, and it was established by the descendants of the Republic of Lan Fang. During the Qing Dynasty, China failed to seize the opportunity. Is it the fault of just one person? I believe it was the error of an era. Today's Singapore harbors hostility toward China. Could this hatred not have been caused by the Qing government turning a blind eye when Lan Fang was being ravaged by invaders? This piece of history is something every Chinese should remember deeply.
