To be honest, from the Saipan era to now, I have tried dozens of ancient mobile games, from the early "Legend of Sword and Fairy" to the later "Ni Shui Han" and "Yimeng Jianghu", and then to various pickup cards. To be honest, there are some aspects of the game "Small and Rain of the Tang Dynasty" that really stood out to me, but there are also some old problems that cannot be corrected.
Let's talk about the advantages first. The face pinching system does have a high degree of freedom. Unlike some games that just give you a few templates and it's done, this one can be fine-tuned to the distance between the eyes and the height of the bridge of the nose, and paired with those sets of 3D costumes, it really has an ancient charm. It took me half an hour to create a chivalrous female character, with a white background and a gold-patterned feather coat. The screenshot can be used as a wallpaper😄. In terms of plot, family feud and national hatred are intertwined with personal love and hatred, and choices will affect subsequent development. This is stronger than many linear plots and gives a sense of substitution. The gameplay is very rich, with more than ten modes taking turns. The management and development elements such as mansion decoration and chamber of commerce construction remind me of the enthusiasm of playing "The Sims" back then. It's a little boring but not boring.
But the shortcomings are also quite obvious. First of all, the combat system is relatively simple. PK combat is just a battle of skills, and the sense of impact is basically zero. It is incomparable with the smoothness of the movements in "Tianya Mingyue Knife". In terms of card collection, the large number of cards sounds tempting, and the actual probability of drawing cards is impressive. I saved up resources for a week and drew ten consecutive cards, and I got two purple cards, not to mention golden legends... Although the charging mode is marked with 0, there are a lot of monthly cards and gift packs in the in-app purchase mall, which all experienced players know 🤔. There are also problems with optimization. After playing for a long time, the phone gets hot and the battery drains quickly. This may be related to the pile of 3D clothing renderings.
Among similar games, the picture quality is inferior to that of "Ni Shui Han", and the social system is not as mature as that of "Yi Meng Jiang Hu", but it is better in terms of vivid themes and rich gameplay. If you like immersive ancient plots and costume collection, and can tolerate some rough spots, then "The Mists of the Tang Dynasty" is worth a try. I remember that we all enjoyed playing "Prince of Persia" on Nokia back then. Today's games have at least improved a lot in terms of graphics and content. Times have changed, but the expectations for good games have not. If you have any questions, please feel free to discuss them together. After all, the experience of veteran players can still come in handy😊.
