To be honest, when I first saw the name and manufacturer of this game, I didn't have high expectations. After all, there have been too many bad games in the mobile game market in the past few years, which are always advertised as "epic". In the end, they often cannot even play "Doodle Jump" in the Symbian era. But as someone who came from the Saipan era, I still downloaded it with the mentality of "giving domestic casual games a chance".
It's not a joke, but after playing for three days, I actually got a little bit addicted.
Let me talk about the most surprising point first: the feedback of physical collision. In many party games now, when characters encounter traps or props, they are basically just stickers and models, without any sense of interaction. But the "Obstacle Avoidance" and "Block Jump" modes in "Supernova Party" actually create a collision sensation that complies with the rules of physics. For example, in block jumping, if you step on the edge of a pit, you will actually slide down due to the shift in your center of gravity. Veteran players all understand the annoying feeling of "just barely passing". To be honest, many major manufacturers are too lazy to polish this kind of detail.
The setting of randomly switching between six maps is also very interesting. Unlike some party games, where a game is a repetitive parkour on the same track from beginning to end, here each round may switch from "passionate green field" to "capturing the crown", and the change of rhythm keeps the brain alert at all times. Moreover, the trap design is quite funny, such as the giant football that suddenly bounces from the ground in the green field, or the sudden shrinking of the safe zone in the championship mode. People can't help but curse "dog planning" and then start the next game with a smile.
There are no krypton gold traps in the free model. I have played more than 20 games, and I don't feel the numerical pressure that forces you to spend money to win. Skins and special effects are basically obtained through liver activities, which is much more conscience than those games that are "free to download, pay to become stronger".
Of course, it's not without its shortcomings. As an old player, I feel that online matching occasionally has slow loading problems, and the optimization may need to be further polished. In addition, after watching the six maps for a long time, I am still a little tired. I hope that more modes will be updated in the future, such as adding the "Snake" variant gameplay we played on Saipan that year, which should be interesting.
Overall, this is a work that in this impetuous era, it is rare for people to regain the feeling of "playing games just for fun". Not bragging, it's worth a try. 😌
