To be honest, when I saw the introduction of this game, I immediately remembered the time I played Clash of Kings on Symbian more than ten years ago. At that time, the mobile phone screen was small and the picture quality was rough, but I couldn't stop playing. I would set the alarm in the middle of the night and get up to collect resources. During the alliance battle, the group would shout loudly, and the brothers would rush to fight. I still miss that passionate feeling when I think about it now. 😌
Not to brag, but this Clash of the Queen is a sequel to COK. I just tried it two days ago. Although there are a lot of SLG in the mobile game market now, this game does have a bit of the flavor of the past. Start with a broken castle, slowly upgrade it, recruit heroes, train soldiers, research technology, then go around the world to fight monsters and grab resources, and finally join an alliance to fight with foreigners. The gameplay framework has not changed much, but the details have been polished well. In particular, the hero system is very solid and much richer than the early COK.
Young players may think this gameplay is outdated, but for old guys like us who have climbed over from the Symbian era, this is actually a sentiment. 🤔 I'm busy with work right now, so I can't play too serious games, but the rhythm of this game is quite comfortable, and I can play it slowly even with zero krypton. Several of the guys in the league quit playing COK back then, and now they're together again.
If you also miss the feeling of turning a castle into a kingdom step by step, you can give it a try. Don't brag, at least it's much more reliable than those flashy SLGs nowadays. 😊
