To be honest, in the current mobile game market, shooting games are basically fast-paced battles like Chicken Fighting, Call of Duty, and CF. Although it is fun, it always feels like it lacks a bit of flavor. Until last week, I accidentally downloaded a game called "Ready to Shoot" and played it for one night. It actually reminded me of the days when I played "SWAT Hunter" on Saipan.
No need to brag, this game can be regarded as taking the concept of "realistic tactics" to a passing level on the mobile phone. What impressed me the most was the "shouting" mechanism - when you see a gunman, instead of shooting directly, you have to yell "put down your weapon" or "don't move". If you just jump in, your score will be very low even if you win. Your teammates will work with you to subdue the gangsters. The whole process is so tense that your palms sweat. It really gives you a sense of "special police occupational hazard coefficient".
The damage system is also very hardcore. Gangsters without body armor will basically be killed with one shot, and so will you. This forces players to carefully plan routes, observe the environment, and use bunkers. Unlike many mobile games nowadays, you can still run and eat health packs while shooting for a long time.
Although the developer is Hainan Star Jump Technology, and the name sounds like a small factory, the foundation of this game is obviously a tribute to the early style of the old "SWAT" series and "Rainbow Six". The picture quality is not top-notch, but the details of the light and shadow and gun models are quite solid, especially the sense of oppression in the indoor CQB.
I miss it, from the few KB Java shooting games on the Nokia N73 to now being able to play this level of tactical simulation on mobile phones. If you are an old player who came from that era and is a little tired of fast food mobile games, you might as well give it a try. But a reminder, the game requires a lot of patience. Novices may want to smash their phones at the first level, but if they get through it, the sense of accomplishment will be better than eating ten handfuls of chicken. 😌
