To be honest, I, an old player who came from the Symbian era, have always had a complicated complex about "dark" mobile games. At that time, the performance of mobile phones was limited, and being able to play "Dungeon Hunter" or "Order and Chaos" was considered a top-notch experience. Nowadays, the mobile game market is full of dazzling products, but not many can actually calm down and play.
Recently, I tried this remake of "Endless Adventure" with graphics. Let's not talk about anything else. When I saw the "really fragrant" Wang Jingze endorsed, my first reaction was a little doubtful - most of the mobile games that hire traffic endorsements these days are just for the money. But after all, it is the work of Celadon. When they made "The Strongest Snail", I felt that there was something good about it, so I gave it a chance.
Let's talk about the advantages first. This game is essentially an idle dark RPG. The core gameplay is to spawn monsters, drop equipment, and match skills and equipment combinations. To be honest, this model has been very mature in the PC games "Diablo 2" and "Path of Exile", but when it is transplanted to the mobile phone to create an idle gameplay, I think they have grasped one point: fragmented time utilization. Fishing at work, lying on the bed before going to bed, just click twice, and the equipment will appear on its own. Moreover, the graphics of this version have indeed been remade, and the skill special effects are much more gorgeous than the old version. Each of the six professions has its own characteristics. The Necromancer summoning stream that I mainly play, watching a group of small skeletons surrounding the BOSS is quite exciting.
Not bragging, but compared with similar games, its advantage is "easy". If you go and play "Diablo: Immortal", you'll have to grind the dungeon back and forth and use the equipment so much that, to be honest, middle-aged people can't stand it. For a 30-year-old veteran player like me, it would be good if I could play steadily for half an hour every day. "Endless Adventure" is much more comfortable. You can also gain profits by hanging up offline. You can collect the food directly when you go online, and occasionally manually adjust the skill combination, which is very satisfying. In comparison, the pure idle gameplay of "Idle Shock" is too boring and lacks the depth of BD; while the "Greedy Cave" series is fun but too hard-core and requires manual operation throughout the entire process, which makes your fingers unbearable after playing for a long time.
But when it comes to shortcomings, it's not without them. In the current free mode, the core experience is not limited, but if you want to quickly collect specific equipment in the later stage, you may still have to spend a little more money. In addition, I feel there is a problem with the professional balance. The mage is too weak in the early stage, but the melee warrior is refreshing. It is recommended that novices directly choose the Paladin to open up wasteland. There are also basically zero social elements, there are no team copies or chat channels, and it feels like a single-player game after playing for a long time. However, this is in line with the "relaxed and casual" positioning and is suitable for Buddhist players.
Finally, I would like to say that the game industry is almost monopolized by big manufacturers now. It is really not easy to see small and medium-sized manufacturers like Xiamen Celadon still seriously polishing the placement gameplay. From the Symbian era to the present, the quality of game graphics has increased countless times, but the pure joy of "being excited for a long time after dropping an orange item" has become increasingly difficult to find. If you are an old gamer at work like me, or you are interested in dark games but don't have time, you might as well try “Endless Adventure” and treat it as nostalgic. 😌
