Hello everyone, I am a game reviewer. Recently, I saw someone mentioning this "Raider Commander 2021" in the forum forum. I just finished the first few chapters two days ago, so let's talk about the real experience.
Let's talk about the conclusion first: This is a strategic tower defense game with a magical management guise. The core gameplay is the cycle of “build-defend-plunder”. There is currently no gold threshold, but the repetition rate will be high in the later stage. Give an overall rating: 7.5/10.
Screen: 6/10
It's actually not amazing. The art style leans toward cartoon pixel style. The island and unit designs are quite cute, but the precision is average, and the light and shadow effects are relatively simple. However, this kind of picture is friendly to low-configuration mobile phones, runs smoothly, and loads quickly. The overall look and feel is passable and not a drag.
Gameplay: 8/10
That's the point. The game is divided into two parts: defense and offense. The defensive process is similar to tower defense. It requires reasonable placement of turrets, mines, etc., and also considers the restraint of arms (for example, infantry can defeat tanks?). The offensive link is to actively plunder other players' islands and control the advancement of troops. It is a bit like a simplified version of "Clash of Clans" but with a faster pace. Resource management is key: wood, gold coins, oil, etc. will be in short supply and require constant balancing. The magical management is reflected in "crazy clicks" and "random events", such as enemies or treasure chests suddenly appearing, which is a bit confusing. The strategic depth is medium. In the early stage, you rely on intuition. In the later stage, you need to carefully plan the combination of troops and the order of building upgrades.
Krypton Gold: 10/10
The game is currently completely free, with no recharge entrance and no forced advertising? At least I didn't encounter pop-up ads during the first 20 hours of playing. The only thing that might make people uncomfortable is: the stamina system? But the recovery speed is acceptable. The Zero Krypton Party can easily obtain all arms and buildings, but they are slightly more aggressive. Full marks for this, it's really conscientious.
Social: 5/10
You can attack other players' islands (AI hosting?), there are rankings and alliance systems, but the social functions are relatively basic. For example, in the alliance, you can only chat and request support, but there is no collaborative mission or battle. Most of the time it is single-player, so if you want to see players competing in real-time, you may be disappointed.
Summary of advantages and disadvantages:
Advantages: zero krypton cost, strong strategic nature, comfortable operating rhythm (no stress), free and no ads, suitable for fragmented time.
Disadvantages: The gameplay in the later stage is repetitive (defense comes one after another, lack of new mechanisms), the graphics are simple, the novice guidance is slightly weak (you have to explore many functions by yourself), and the social functions are better than nothing.
Suitable for the crowd: Players who like tower defense, management, and strategy, but are unwilling to pay or watch ads. If you are pursuing ultimate picture quality or complex social interactions, it may not be suitable.
That's almost it. Anyone who has played this game can tell me which chapter have you reached? Which troop type do you think is the best? Welcome to leave a message ~
