I am a game reviewer. I have been in the industry for five years and have tested no less than 30 Xianxia mobile games. Today, I am taking advantage of the open beta of "Swordsman" to use it as a case and talk about the scoring logic I have been using. No bragging, no slander, just dry stuff.
Graphically, this game is really playable. The character modeling is relatively detailed, the skill special effects are gorgeous, the particle effects of flying swords and mounts are sufficient, and there is obvious impact feedback during fighting. However, the scenes are slightly homogeneous, and the main city and outdoor maps have brighter tones, which can easily cause visual fatigue after watching them for a long time. I give it 8 points, which is above average and better than most skin-changing Xia Xia.
The gameplay is the lifeblood of the Xianxia game. The main running loop and daily tasks of "Legend of Sword" are quite satisfactory, but the PVP content is well done. The cross-server battlefield and the fairy alliance competition have a tight rhythm, and it is not the kind of mindless idle hacking. Love dungeons and two-player missions are highlights. Cooperating with fixed teammates can give you a sense of strategy. But the core is still driven by combat power, and the numerical suppression is obvious in the later stage. This is similar to similar products. I would give it a 7, which is above the passing line. It lacks innovation but is more solid.
The krypton gold dimension is a sensitive topic. This game claims to be free, but in fact the props and gift packs sold in the mall have a significant impact on combat effectiveness. The first deposit will give you magic weapons, monthly cards will add experience, and VIP privileges include teleportation and automatic pickup. It can be regarded as a regular distribution of krypton gold points. You can play it without spending any money, but it requires a lot of money, and high-level PVP is basically the domain of hard-core players. I personally give it 6 points. It's not considered a conscience, but it's not to the point of forcing you to spend money on it. I suggest you use WeChat or a monthly card party to get involved.
The social system is a plus for this game. The real-person voice function is well integrated, making it efficient to type copies or call people on the world channel. The Immortal League system has an attack gameplay similar to that of a tribe. There are voice commands during the gang battle, and the atmosphere is full. The love system is relatively lightweight and does not force social interaction. Overall, I give it 8 points, which is considered to be a top-notch level among Xianxia games.
Overall, my recommendation score is 7.5. If you like the fairy tale theme and can accept a certain degree of krypton gold pressure, you can give it a try; if you pursue a completely fair PVP experience or are extremely averse to combat power-driven, it may not be suitable.
Finally, I want to say that the scoring criteria vary from person to person, but I insist on using the four dimensions of graphics, gameplay, money, and social interaction to dismantle it. This can at least help everyone see where the money is spent on the game. What do you think? You are welcome to talk about your own scoring standards downstairs, and also talk about which dimension "Swordsman" is a plus or minus for you.
