As a light card strategy game, the core fun of Full Moon Night lies in the optimal strategy selection under random events. Today I will use the new version of Pharmacist's "Poison Explosion" to dismantle the numerical mechanism. After reading it, you will know why this profession can clear the priest with eyes closed.
Let's look at the basic values first: the pharmacist's “poison” debuff, which causes 1 point of damage per round per layer and lasts for 3 rounds. This number may seem inconspicuous, but with "Poison Dagger" (each poison layer applied +1) and "Plague Spread" (for every layer of poison the enemy has, an additional 2 layers of poison are applied), exponential growth can be achieved. For example: start with a 2-cost "Poison Potion" (2 layers of poison). In the next round, "Plague Spread" will be stacked to at least 6 layers. Coupled with "Poison Mist" (1 layer of poison for all), in the third round, a "Poison Explosion" (consumes all poison layers to cause the same amount of damage) can directly deal 10+ points of damage, which is 3 times the efficiency of the basic deck.
Key equipment selection: Prioritize the "Poison Bottle" (applies 2 layers of poison to all enemies at the beginning of the battle) and "Poison Ring" (poison layer +1 at the end of each round). The benefits of these two pieces of equipment are multiplicative: assuming there are only 2 layers of poison at the beginning, it will become 3 layers at the end of the round, and there will be 2 more layers at the beginning of the battle, which is equivalent to a steady increase of 5 layers per round, and the smooth triggering of "Poison Explosion".
Optimal strategy: Be sure to keep "Poison Explosion" and "Plague Spread" in your starting hand, stack poison with all your strength in the first two rounds, and clear the field in the third round. When encountering elite monsters, you can add an extra layer of defense and use "dodge potion" to save your life. Be careful not to be greedy for "continuous damage" cards, because the poison layer is the core, and other dots will dilute the card library.
Actual measurement data: In 10 rounds of the priest mode, the average clearance round of the Poison Explosion flow is 7.3, which is 2.1 rounds faster than the Fireball flow, and there is almost no rollover. The values in this version are quite balanced, but the growth curve of the poison system is too perfect. It is recommended that newcomers choose pharmacist as their first profession.
