I have played "Immortal Life Jue" for a few days, and also experienced similar works such as "Yi Nian Xiao Yao" and "Immortal Life Simulator". Today I will objectively talk about the advantages and disadvantages of this free immortality mobile game. First the conclusion: If you are tired of gold-heavy or irritating immortality games, you can try this one, but don't have too high expectations😅
Graphics/art style 🌟🌟🌟
"Xian Ming Jue" adopts the ink style, and the UI is relatively simple, but the details are not as refined as "Yi Nian Xiao Yao", the character modeling is Q version, and the scenes are less dynamic. Compared with similar products, its picture is at a medium level, not stunning but not eye-catching, at least better than some shoddy skin-repairing small factories. However, the character's movements are a bit stiff, and the special effects of alchemy and cultivation are relatively simple. We hope to optimize them in the future.
Gameplay/System Depth 🌟🌟🌟Half
The core gameplay is to absorb spirits and temper the body, travel, refine alchemy, and refine weapons, which are considered standard features in similar games. The highlight is that the "Taoist Companion System" is more practical - you can form a relationship, practice dual cultivation, and explore together, which is more careful than just using a name in many games. Slaying demons and sect construction also have certain strategies, but the value growth curve in the early stage is slow and it is easy to get stuck. Compared with the multi-branch plot of "Immortal Life Simulator", "Immortal Life" has a slightly lower degree of freedom and is more like a main line + side mission mode. Overall, the gameplay is rich enough, but the innovation is insufficient, and it does not break out of the traditional idle framework of cultivating immortals.
Krypton gold/consumption model 🌟🌟🌟🌟
Here's the key point: The current charging mode of this game is marked as “0”. In my actual measurement, I found no common points such as first recharge, battle pass, limited time gift pack, etc. The mall only sells a small number of appearance and acceleration items, and they can be exchanged for in-game currency. Compared with the design of "Yi Nian Xiao Yao" that "slows progress without recharging money", "Xianming Jue" is simply too conscience-stricken😯 However, please also note: the free game may be monetized through advertisements or in-skin purchases in the later stages. It seems to be a clean stream at the moment, but it is recommended that you wait and see for a while.
Social/interactive experience 🌟🌟🌟
Supports Taoist couple interaction, sect chat, and world shouting, but the server seems unstable and sometimes delayed. Compared with the strong social turn-based system of "Wenwen", the social interaction of "Xianmingjue" is more casual and cooperative. There is no mandatory team copy, so it can be played even if you are afraid of social problems. However, the friend system has limited functions and lacks daily transactions or team formation. This can be further optimized.
Overall evaluation: 7/10 points
Advantages: zero krypton friendly, Taoist companion system has bright spots, ink style is not greasy
Disadvantages: Insufficient innovation, rough picture details, slightly repetitive gameplay in the later stages
Recommended for players who like to hang up and cultivate immortality, don't pursue top-quality graphics, and don't want to be forced to spend money. If you are playing "Yi Nian Xiao Yao" and feel it is too boring, you can try this one for a change; but if you are a hardcore cultivator fan, you may find it "almost boring"🤔
The above is my real experience after two weeks of trial playing. Welcome to discuss ~ I am a game reviewer, so I will not take any slaps in the face for now.
