Hello everyone, I am a game reviewer and we meet again. Recently, I often see people discussing "how to give ratings" and "whether they charge money" in forums. In fact, I think rating is quite subjective, but at least I have a relatively fixed framework. Today I just want to talk about the emotional mobile game "Prophecy World", and give it a reference for friends who want to get into the game. 🕹️
Let's talk about the graphics first: 2.5D perspective, which officials say is an authentic restoration of the art quality of the PC game. In my actual experience, the scene modeling does have the same flavor as ten years ago, the character modeling is more retro-style, and the skill special effects have some halos and particle effects, which are a bit more dazzling than the PC game. However, the resolution is average, the UI interface is slightly crowded, and it is not suitable for current mobile phone screens. Overall, the sentiment score bonus is high, but in 2024 it is considered to be a mid-to-low level. I give it 6.5/10 points. 🎨
Then there's the gameplay: the core selling points are “city warfare” and “ten thousand people playing the same server”. I entered the game and experienced the upgrade process first. In the early stage, it was basically automatic path finding + idle killing of monsters, which is a classic web game style. Anger transformation and dual-series skills are a bit interesting. After transformation, the range of skills increases, and the visual effect is full during group fights, but the depth of operation is limited. The PK system is very exciting, with reds available in the wild at any time, and the pace of help battles is fast. However, it is not very friendly to lone wolf players. It is difficult to obtain resources without joining a big gang. I give it a 7/10 score here. It excels in social attributes and passion, but lacks innovation. ⚔️
In terms of money: The game advertises a "zero fee model", but after actually entering it, I found that it is a fee for props, including VIP levels, monthly passes, limited-time gift packages, etc. You can play without spending money, but equipment enhancement, skill upgrades, and transformation duration are very resource intensive. The mounts and costumes in the mall directly add combat power, and the numerical difference is obvious. What is relatively fair is that equipment can be traded, and brick-and-mortar parties have the opportunity to make a little money by extracting materials and selling gold. Combined with the horizontal comparison of similar games, Krypton is considered medium to heavy, and I give it 5/10 points. 💰
Social system: This is the most eye-catching part of "Prophecy World". The gang system has voice chat, collective tasks, siege warfare, and is synchronized in real time across the entire server. I followed it and played several city battles, and the server didn't lag. The scene of the commander shouting for wheat and hundreds of people charging was really exciting. There is also a master-apprentice and marriage system, and the social functions are relatively complete. However, this section may be a bit stressful for players with social fear, because many team tasks cannot be completed without calling someone. I give it 8/10. 🗣️
Comprehensive evaluation: If you are looking for a mobile game that can relive the feelings of the PC games of the past, like large-scale PK, and has low graphics requirements, you can try "Prophecy World". But if you care about the sophistication of the graphics, are averse to heavy spending, or want a stand-alone experience, it may not be suitable. I finally give it 6.5/10 points and recommend it to nostalgic and social players. 📝
The above is my scoring idea using "Prophecy World" as an example this time. Do you think it is reasonable? Welcome to leave a message for discussion, don't come up and start trolling 🧐
