What is the difference between a completely free stand-alone game and a cracked version? Why does it cost money to have a completely free version?

Games are divided into box games and value-added games. Box games in the game do not involve charges, meaning there are no quick upgrades or value-added services like 10,000 gold. Value-added games, on the other hand, include such services. Cracking generally targets those value-added contents, basically preventing the information from reaching the charging point, making the charges unavailable. There are prompts, but the information cannot go through, and it won't return a payment success message, so no charge occurs... uh, this is my understanding, it should be something like that.
