Recently I tried "National Academic Master", a casual mobile game that simulates campus development. After playing for two weeks, from the establishment of the school to the graduation of the first batch of students, let's talk about the real experience. The screen adopts a Q-cute cartoon style, with bright colors, and the details of the buildings and students are handled well, but the UI layout is a bit crowded, especially after the school expansion in the later period, the menu stacking is a bit messy. The music is average, not particularly outstanding but not harsh either.
In terms of gameplay, the core is the combination of "development + management". You need to recruit teachers, upgrade school buildings, arrange courses, and pay attention to each student's attributes (learning, talent, physical fitness, etc.). The most interesting thing is that students have random events, such as a student who suddenly wants to drop out of school and work part-time, or is anxious before an exam. You need to deal with these emergencies. But the problem is also obvious: the middle and later stages are highly repetitive, and daily tasks are basically clicking buttons and watching the numbers grow, and there is a lack of change. Moreover, when the number of students increases, the immersion of individual training is diluted, and in the later period, it is more like "operating a factory" rather than "cultivating talents."
In terms of money, I thought there must be pitfalls in free games, but it was unexpectedly restrained. The first deposit gift package is very clear, and the monthly card is reasonably cost-effective, without the intensity of extorting money. Zero krypton players can also pass the main story with patience, but the progress is slower. However, advanced course consultants and acceleration props require diamonds to purchase, and in the middle and later stages, monthly cards will not deplete resources. The whole thing is a benign design that can be used or not.
The social part is relatively weak, with only simple rankings and friend mutual assistance functions, and no class competitions or cross-server activities. The linkage when playing with friends is not strong, and it is basically a stand-alone experience.
Summary Rating: 7.2/10
Advantages: Relaxed and leisurely, not too stressful, full of freshness in the early stage, and students have a sense of involvement in their growth.
Disadvantages: High repetition in the later stage, lack of social gameplay, and UI needs to be optimized.
It is recommended for light players who like business simulations, but if you are pursuing in-depth strategy or strong competition, you may not find it enjoyable enough. Let's wait for the next update~
