(Ahem, let me first state that I am not a clickbait, I was really blown away by the graphics of this game)
As an old two-dimensional person who has been on the P site all year round and is obsessed with the painting style, I originally refused the Three Kingdoms-themed mobile game...until I was browsing TapTap in the middle of the night one day and saw the preview of "War Chess Three Kingdoms", and I sat up from the bed in a fit of excitement on the spot! ! !
First of all, the graphics of this game are really amazing! It's not the kind of bad Internet celebrity face, but a two-dimensional style with an ink style and a bit of celluloid texture. The look in Zhao Yun's eyes, awsl... and Zhou Yu's vertical painting, and the aura of a sinister strategist, made me hallucinate Midorikawa Hikari's voice whispering in my ears (although this game seems to have no dubbing, I'm going to cry😭). The key is that each general has an independent standby action and expression difference, and the card drawing interface will also be displayed in circles, so this stand-up painting party will be satisfied.
The plot is unexpectedly exciting! It's not the "Ah, I am the chosen one" routine, but a semi-fantasy setting based on the Romance of the Three Kingdoms. For example, Cao Cao is actually a tsundere lolicon? ! (No spoilers allowed) The dialogue performances between levels also have live2D effects. Although it is not as good as the card drawing games next door, but when I saw the characters blinking and blushing in a war chess game, I was so moved that I wanted to open an altar...
As for the combat system... As a handicapped person, to be honest, I don't know much about "balance" and "level design", but watching the military commanders I carefully cultivated perform handsome poses and amplified moves on the chessboard, combined with ink special effects and explosive numerical damage, it's so satisfying! And this game actually doesn't force krypton? The Zero Krypton Party can also get SSR through liver, which is great news for poor students like me.
The only regret is that there is no voice actor dubbing... If we can get Natsuki Hanae to play Cao Cao in the future, and Saori to play Diao Chan, I will pierce the server on the spot! However, currently, it's okay to express character lines using emoticons and dialog boxes, at least it won't be as perfunctory as in some games where the whole process is “hum”, “ah”, and “hmm”.
In short, if you are like me, a two-dimensional face dog who prioritizes the style of painting, the plot second, and does not have high requirements for combat, this game is definitely worth a try! Anyway, after I got into the trap, I changed all my dormitory computer desktops to Zhao Yun (my roommates said I was poisoned, but they didn't understand!). Finally, he shouted: Shu is the best in the world! No rebuttal accepted! 🌈🌈🌈
(PS: Go and get that limited skin in the game, Zhuge Liang with white silk hair, I will blow it!!)
