I was bored a few days ago and downloaded "Crazy Eraser 2". I originally thought it was just an ordinary casual brain game. Unexpectedly, after playing it, I found that there is a lot of competitive logic and balance design behind it that are worth talking about. 😅
Let's talk about the core gameplay first. This game is essentially a "reasoning + erasing" mechanism. Each level gives you a scene. You need to find the hidden logical connections within the limited prompt time, and then use erasing actions to verify your guesses. It sounds simple, but in practice, there will be obvious differences in reaction speed, association ability and trial and error efficiency between different players. This is where competitiveness sprouts.
From a balance perspective, the developers have actually implemented some anti-crushing mechanisms in the level design. For example, no matter how quickly you find the answer, you must go through the hard interaction step of "erasing action", which prevents players with fast hands but no brains from mindlessly racking up points. In addition, the level difficulty curve does not rise linearly, but occasionally inserts some "reversal questions" - you think it conforms to the previous rules, but the result is not at all, which tests the players' ability to make temporary adjustments. I think this is crucial to maintaining a healthy competitive environment. Otherwise, the game will quickly become boring if we only focus on one-dimensional reasoning abilities.
However, there is a balance issue in the current version that makes me a little worried: there is an "optimal solution monopoly" in some levels. For example, the answer to a certain level is actually fixed. Once someone shares the solution, newcomers don't need to use their brains at all and can just copy the homework. This results in the difference in scores between masters and ordinary players not in thinking, but in the order in which information is obtained. If random factors or variant answers can be added in subsequent updates, it may make the competitive environment more benign.
In addition, I noticed that the game running platform is marked 5.0. Maybe it is optimized for older versions of Android? But since we have posted a discussion on the forum, we still hope that the team can consider adding some simple rankings or time trial modes, so that the so-called "thinking test" can be truly realized into visual competitive data. Otherwise, no matter how good the imaginative design is, it will easily become a stand-alone game. 😂
In short, if you are tired of the fixed routines in KPL, or want to change your taste, you can try using reasoning logic to "crack" each level in "Crazy Eraser 2". Although it does not have the moment of team battle operation like MOBA, the pleasure of using intuition and a small amount of information to make judgments is actually the same as the decision-making ideas on the field.
