Recently, I was diving in the film and television area and found that everyone's enthusiasm for the martial arts theme has not diminished. As a game reviewer, I have recently compared several similar martial arts mobile games, including "Feng Yun Lu", "Han Family Jiang Hu", "Small Rain Jiang Hu", etc., to share my true feelings.
Graphics/Sound Effects: Jianghu Fengyunlu is a 2D horizontal version with a retro pixel style, and the character drawings are a bit ink-like, but it is indeed a bit behind compared to the 3D scenes of "Miscellaneous Rivers and Lakes". But what's better is the attention to detail, such as the dead trees, wine flags, and cornices in the scene, which have the beauty of an old martial arts movie. The sound effects are average, and the fighting sound effects are a bit thin. Rating 6.5/10
Game play/plot: The biggest highlight of this game is the plot, which has a high degree of freedom, intertwined main and branch plots, more than 120 kinds of martial arts secrets, and a lot of development branches. The battle is turn-based, with automatic hang-up as the main theme. The operation threshold is low and suitable for fragmented time. Compared with "Hanjia Jianghu", it is more strategic, but "Jianghu Fengyunlu" obviously wins in terms of text volume and plot immersion. Many tasks have branch choices that affect the follow-up, like reading an open-world martial arts novel. Rating 8.5/10
Krypton gold: The price is 0 yuan but it has built-in in-app purchases, including monthly cards, card draws (martial arts/partners), etc. Compared with similar games, "Jianghu Fengyunlu" has quite a lot of krypton gold points, but even a zero-krypton party can play it on a daily basis, unlike some games where it is difficult to play without krypton gold. However, some difficult dungeons in the later stages have equipment requirements, which may be a bit more expensive. Rating 7/10
Social: There are sworn homage, marriage, and sect systems, but overall it is single-player and there is no forced social interaction. Compared with multi-player dungeons and gang battles like "Miscellaneous Rivers and Lakes", it is quieter. Suitable for players who like to venture out on their own. Rating 6/10
Summary: If you are a fan of Jin Yong's cologne, like the strong Jianghu flavor, and can accept the retro style of painting, then Jianghu Fengyunlu is the most solid plot among its kind. In horizontal comparison, "Hanjia Jianghu" is more suitable for the strategic party, and "Miscellaneous Rivers and Lakes" has a more modern picture, but in terms of the emotional depth of "Xia", Jianghu Fengyun Lu is indeed unique. I personally give it 7.5 points and recommend it to players who want to relive the classic martial arts dream. 😊
Advantages: rich plot, many types of martial arts, high degree of freedom, and sentimental
Disadvantages: Outdated graphics, too many gold points, weak social interaction
