To be honest, I have been playing mobile games for more than ten years, starting with the Nokia Symbian system back then. At that time, it was not as fancy as it is now, and even a greedy snake could play it all night. The graphics of games on the market today are becoming more and more sophisticated, but they always feel like they are missing a bit of flavor. Recently, a friend recommended me to try "Happy Landlords". I didn't have high expectations at first. After all, what other tricks can I get out of this classic game of Landlords? There are also "Continuous Explosion Landlords" and "Ace 510K", with multipliers exceeding 100 million in minutes, which are really stress-relieving to play. As for the shortcomings, it is that sometimes the luck is too good or too bad, and it is easy for people to not stop.
What surprised me a little is that it actually has leisure activities such as growing vegetables in the manor, fishing, and fighting BOSS. At first I thought this was a bit superfluous, but after playing for two days I discovered that these are the modifiers interspersed between the cards. When you are tired from playing Landlords, you can go to the manor to grow vegetables and go fishing, and your mind will be at peace. When you come back to continue "fighting", your state will be even better. This design is quite thoughtful.
To be honest, many games nowadays are too boring, and they often force people to log in and check in every day, making it feel like they are at work. On the contrary, this one feels like you can pick it up and play twice at any time, or put it down and go. The rhythm is completely in my own hands, which reminds me of the time when I played those small games on Symbian - simple, direct and happy.
Some people may think that I exaggerate too much, but as an old player who has played all the way from the Symbian era, I really feel that this kind of product that returns to the essence of the game is rare. It doesn't have so many fancy routines, it just allows you to play cards, relax, occasionally grow vegetables in the manor, and live a pastoral life. If you are like me and miss the pure gaming experience, you might as well give it a try. Of course, enough is enough, don't just play until three in the morning like me😅
