Let me first state that I have played quite a few doomsday shooting mobile games, such as "The Day After Tomorrow", "Last Day on Earth: Survival", and "Zombie Frontline", which I have been playing for more than half a year. I recently watched "The Wire" and watched it for three days with the mentality of "I might be able to support my retirement". Today I will talk about it and these movies.
Graphics: It's more like an American cartoon, the optimization is OK, but it's not top-notch🆚
The painting style of "Strike" is somewhere between the realism of "The Day After Tomorrow" and the cartoon of "Zombie Frontline". The zombie modeling is a bit "cute" and not scary. The particle effects and light and shadow are quite satisfactory, but the advantage is optimization and stability. My Snapdragon 778G measured 60 frames without dropping a single frame. Compared with the pixel style of "The Last Day on Earth", it is more "modern"; but compared with the next-generation picture quality of "The Day After Tomorrow", it is obviously half a generation behind.
Gameplay: Career differentiation is interesting, but the core is still grinding🔫
The six major professions (assault, medical, sniper, etc.) are indeed richer than similar games, and the skill trees of each profession are obviously different. For example, medical can throw back blood grenades, and sniper can see through markers, which are highly complementary when forming a team. But the core gameplay is still the same as the old three: brush the main line → fight BOSS → brush materials → upgrade weapons. Compared with "The Last Day on Earth" which pays more attention to survival and construction, "Fire Line" prefers a hard-core shooting feel, with good ballistic feedback and shooting vibration, which is stronger than the stance output of "Zombie Frontline".
Krypton Gold: Free to start, but there are "hidden pits" in the later stage💰
The charging mode is 0 yuan, and downloading is free. The first 30 levels are indeed not expensive. But in the middle and late stages, advanced firearms blueprints and drone strengthening materials can basically only be obtained by drawing cards or gift packs, and the probability is impressive. Compared with the "Krypton gold equals combat power" of "The Day After Tomorrow", it is considered mild, but compared with the conscience of "The End of Earth", which can penetrate the liver with almost zero krypton, it is still almost boring.
Social: Legion battles are interesting, but the matching mechanism needs to be optimized🕹️
Legion battle is the highlight, 20v20 real-time attack and defense, professional matching and tactical coordination are very team-oriented. However, matching often encounters high combat power crushing, and low-level players have a poor experience. Compared with the camp interaction in "The Day After Tomorrow", "Fire Line" has fewer social functions. Chat, team formation, and legion are basically the same.
Overall rating: 7.5/10
Advantages: The career system is in-depth, the shooting feels solid, and the legion battle is exciting.
Disadvantages: The pressure to earn money increases in the middle and late stages, the graphics are not flagship, and the social network is single.
If you like the hardcore of "The Last Day on Earth" but think it is too rough, or think "The Day After Tomorrow" is too krypton-heavy, then "The Wire" is worth trying, but it is recommended to experience the first two weeks and be cautious.
