I recently played a new game "Yin Yang Love". As a player who has been involved in elimination and love development games all year round, I feel it is necessary to talk about the differences between it and similar games from a horizontal comparison perspective. The old rules are analyzed from the four dimensions of picture/gameplay/money/social interaction.
In terms of graphics, compared to the exquisite Japanese painting style of "Love and the Producer", "Yin Yang Love" is more ink Taoist style, and the lines of vertical characters are more elegant, but the precision is slightly inferior. Compared with the bright cartoons of "Happy Match", its tone is darker, which is in line with the "yin and yang" theme. However, the character expression packs are very rich, and Yuxuan's depressed face and Xiaobai's ghostly and silly look are quite cute. In casual games, this picture is above average.
The gameplay is considered to be the most unique point of this game: it closely combines the elimination and romantic comedy plots. It is not like the purely instrumental connection of "elimination and unlocking the scene" like "Fantasy Garden". Instead, each elimination level directly advances the plot. For example, Yuxuan failed to eliminate evil and was complained by Xiaobai. This strong connection between the plot and gameplay made my eyes shine. Compared with the pure click dialogue + card battle of "Love and Producer", the randomness eliminated here makes every game feel fresh. However, the design of elimination itself is relatively traditional and does not have the special linkage of "Bubble Bobble". The advantage is that the operation is smooth and the difficulty curve is reasonable.
In terms of monetization, this game is currently completely free with no in-app purchases, which is a breath of fresh air among domestic games. Compared with the physical system + prop fee of "Happy Xiaoxiaole", or the card-drawing pit between Love and the Producer, "Yin Yang Love" is simply good news for prostitutes. Of course, if skins or plot unlocks are added in the future, I hope developers will exercise restraint.
In terms of social interaction, there is currently no friend system or ranking list, and it is more stand-alone. Compared with the social interaction of "Friends giving energy" like "Dream Home", it pays more attention to the single-player immersive experience, which is also in line with the Taoist theme of "purity".
Generally speaking, if you are a player who likes the shikigami setting of "Onmyoji" but doesn't want to get angry, likes the love story of "Love and the Producer" but is tired of drawing cards, and wants to watch some comedy in your spare time, this game is worth a try. The disadvantage is that the content is currently small, so I look forward to subsequent updates. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (Four stars, one star deducted for depth of content)
