Regarding car-moving puzzle games, I have recently become addicted to "Boss Car-Moving 2", so I am here to talk about the differences between it and similar games of the same type. There are currently three main categories of parking-themed games on the market: one is hard-core parking simulation like "Parking Mania", the other is time management and placement like "3D Parking", and the other is logical sorting puzzles like "Boss Move Car 2". Today we focus on comparing the latter two.
Let's talk about the picture first. "Boss Move Car 2" adopts a cute hand-painted style. The shapes of the cars are round and cute, and the resident villains are also Q-versions. The overall color scheme is very soft, and it is not overly bright or plasticky like some games of the same type. In contrast, although the realistic modeling of "3D Parking Lot" is more refined, it lacks this "healing feeling". If you usually like the style of "Cat Garden", this one is definitely a plus.
Gameplay is the core. The underlying logic of this game is to "move cars in order". There will be several cars and residents in each level. You have to plan the order of departure to avoid collisions. This sounds simple, but in the middle and late stages, mechanisms such as roadblocks, one-way lanes, and height and width limits are added, and the difficulty climbs smoothly. It is much more intelligent than the infinitely repetitive "brainless points" of "Unzip the Parking Lot", and it is also more friendly than the hard-core mode of "Parking Master" with extremely low fault tolerance. The puzzles in each level are not based on luck, but require you to spend a few seconds to observe the path. This reminds me of the classic structure of "Sokoban", but more relaxed.
In terms of money, this game is completely free, with no in-app purchases and no physical limitations. Ads are optional to watch (for example, watching ads to get trailing skins). Among similar games, the "stamina exchange level" mechanism of "Parking Lot Story" made me very unhappy, while the conscience charging model of "Boss Move 2" was directly praised. The skin system is also very restrained and does not affect customs clearance. It is purely a sweetener for collectors.
The social part is basically zero. There are no rankings and no battles with friends. It is a pure offline single-player experience. This is very divisive. Some people like to relax in peace, while others find it uninteresting. But I think for such a casual game, it is more pure to focus on the puzzle itself.
Summarize the advantages and disadvantages:
Advantages: Cute style, reasonable logic puzzle design, completely free with no compulsory payment, rich levels and stable difficulty increase.
Disadvantages: lack of social functions, a slightly stronger sense of repetition in later levels (after all, the mechanism is limited), no plot or achievement system, and long-term play will lack a sense of purpose.
If you are tired of playing "Happy Match" or tired of operating "3D Parking Lot", you might as well try this one. It's not amazing, but it's definitely worth playing a few games in your spare time. Give it a score: 7.5/10, which can be regarded as a breath of fresh air in the same genre.
