To be honest, as a senior 2D otaku, my standard for getting into games has always been “As long as the graphics look good, that's all.” ✨ The combat system and operation feel are all in vain in front of the beautiful faces of my wives! But recently, I have stepped on the thunder and doubted my life, and I have to complain about those games with stunning graphics and soaring gameplay.
For example, a certain mobile game is known as the "most powerful game". The voice actor lineup is so luxurious that it can hold a concert, and every frame of the plot CG can be used as wallpaper. The result? The combat system is mindless, and even the automatic combat is better than my own operation😅 There is also a game with the theme of "apocalyptic rescue". The girl's character is really cute to me. As a result, the screen is filled with physical collision bugs at the beginning. The character drifts like stepping on skate shoes, and the rescue target is stuck in the wall and twitches crazily... This wave, this wave is a failure case of "saving the world with style of painting".
But recently I found a treasure - "Jedi Adventure"! Although the painting style is realistic and there are not so many wives licking the screen, the rendering of the snow mountain scene is really amazing! The light spots reflected by ice crystals in the sun, and the oppressive feeling of particle effects during avalanches, after watching it for a long time, it actually gives me the illusion of a "Shinkai Makoto filter" (forced Amway) 🌨️ And the physical suction gameplay of this game is so exciting! It's like a low-end version of the three-dimensional mobile device in "Attack on Titan". When the hook is thrown out to grab the cliff and swing over the waterfall, Guren's Bow Arrow automatically plays in my mind. The operation is not brainless, but compared to those games with "painting style ceilings and gameplay floor tiles", at least it will not make people drop their phones. The only drawback is that the moment when the snow leopard rushes over always reminds me of the stomachache plot in "White Album 2"... Oh no, the sense of mission to rescue the princess suddenly ignited!
In short, if you are heartbroken by those "good-looking but difficult-to-play" two-dimensional games, you might as well try this, maybe you can get back the joy of playing the game in the first place (referring to saving the princess while screaming) 😂
