Let's start with the conclusion: This game is an adventure puzzle game on the surface, but at its core it is a numerical game. The development team has buried a lot of hidden weights in character attributes. If you add points based on intuition, there is a high probability that you will get stuck in the "Quicksand Trap" in the second act. I repeatedly tested the openings 20+ times, sorted out the core profit curves of the three characters, and just talked about it. 📊
Character value basic panel
Medron (uncle): Initial strength 10, intelligence 7, agility 5. He is positioned as the main force in demolition, but his low intelligence leads to poor efficiency in solving puzzles. He has two key hidden parameters: armor recovery coefficient (1.2x) and trap trigger rate reduction (-15%). This means that he earns more from eating blood bottles and loses less blood from stepping on traps. Suitable for standing in the front row to resist damage + physically open the door.
Mai Xiaogu (nephew): initial intelligence 9, agility 8, strength 4. An expert at solving puzzles, but as brittle as paper. Hidden parameters: cracking speed bonus (1.5x) and mechanism critical hit rate (8%). Note that this critical hit is not to kill monsters, but to trigger a chain of puzzles at once when cracking the mechanism, saving a lot of steps and resources. Suitable for map exploration and secret lock cracking.
Mai Xiaomi (daughter): Initial agility 9, intelligence 6, strength 5. Balanced type, but the hidden parameters are the most outrageous: rope usage efficiency (2.0x) and climbing physical consumption halved. In the third act of the "Hanging Coffin in the Abyss" scene, only she could complete all the collections alone, while the uncle and nephew's physical strength tank hit the bottom. She is a strategic resource, don't let her fight head-on. 🔍
Optimal attribute allocation strategy
The game gives 3 attribute points for every level up, but the income from adding points is not linear. I actually measured the thresholds of each attribute at key nodes:
Strength: Each set of 5 points, 10→15 increases the breaking speed by 20%, 15→20 increases by 40%, but after 20, there is only a 5% linear increase. In the early stage of Medellun, just increase it to 15, and then rely on equipment to make up for it.
Intelligence: The turning point of cracking speed is at 12 points (triggering the rapid deduction passive). Mai Xiaogu must reach 12, and then the returns will decrease. The extra points are given to agility, because there is a "time lock" mechanism in the mid-term that requires agility judgment.
Agility: Affects movement speed and dodge determination, but Mai Xiaomi's dodge formula is (agility * 0.8 + random number), reaching a peak benefit at 12 points. Don't go over 15, it's a waste of points.
My point-adding template: Mai Delun has 12 Strength → Agility 8 → Wisdom 7 (all physical strength points will be added after that), Mai Xiaogu will have 12 Intelligent Points → Minus 10 → Strength 5 (then all points will be luck, because luck affects the quality of drops), and Mai Xiaomi will have 12 Intelligence → Intelligence 8 → Strength 5 (after all points will be at the upper limit of HP, she will die easily).
Equipment value selection priority
Weapons look at the "crack bonus" attribute, not attack power. 99% of the damage in ancient tombs comes from traps, not monsters. Give priority to wristbands with "organ interference rate" ≥5%, which can reset the trap CD with a probability. In terms of armor, Medron has damage reduction, and the other two have full resistance, because the gas traps cause continuous damage, and damage reduction is useless.
Key node data comparison
There are two branches at the end of the tomb passage in the first act: the left path requires Medlen's strength of 13 or more to forcefully break the door (which takes 2 rounds, and the blood is deducted by 5%), and the right path requires Mai Xiaogu's intelligence of 10 or more to solve the puzzle (which takes 1 round and no damage). If you take the left path, you will lose one herb resource point later. Therefore, the optimal strategy is to add points to Mai Xiaogu's Intelligence 10 at the beginning, so that the first act can be passed with zero loss.
Act 2 Quicksand Trap: 3 characters need to stand on the pressure plate at the same time, but if Mai Xiaomi's agility is lower than 10, the triggering delay of her plate will be 0.5 seconds slower, which will directly cause everyone to fall into the trap. Here you must ensure that Mai Xiaomi's agility is ≥10, otherwise let's restart.
In the third act, the hanging coffin is cracked: use Mai Xiaomi to climb up and pull the switch, and Medlen to resist the falling rocks at the bottom (the blood volume is less than 100 seconds). Mai Xiaogu reads the stone tablet on the side. After reading it, the whole team gets the "Ancient Wisdom" buff, and all cracking speeds are doubled. The order cannot be wrong, pull the switch first and then read the tablet, otherwise falling rocks will interrupt the reading.
To sum up: Don't use Mai Xiaomi as output, don't let Medlen solve puzzles, and don't add attribute points evenly. By following the above process, the three-act clearance rate without injury can be raised to over 80%. If you overturned the "Blood Pool Altar" in Act 4, leave a message in the comment area, and I will write another hidden numerical analysis. 💡
