To be honest, when I saw the name of this game, my first reaction was - here we go again. 😅 Miru game, 0.05% off double super gold, this routine has been around since the Saipan era, but at that time it was SMS deductions, now it is various gift pack codes. But since you asked me, I downloaded it and tried it. After all, with the Dragon Ball feelings, who hasn't dreamed of transforming into a Saiyan?
Let's first talk about what similar games have in common. Most of the Dragon Ball mobile games on the market are actually the leftovers of "Dragon Ball Battle" or "Dragon Ball Battle". It's either card matching or automatic battle to increase combat power. There are not many games that can really make people feel the flavor of "The Best Budokai in the World". This "Super Dimension Adventure" is no exception. When you go in and take a look, you will see the clichéd 3D modeling, full-screen special moves, and summoning dragons - these have become standard features in similar works, just like the "Insects" on Symbian that changed the skin in every version.
But having said that, this game is still interesting in some details. For example, it has made "0.05% off" and "double super gold" into a core gameplay. To put it bluntly, it allows you to buy a bunch of fictitious values with very little money. This design is actually very smart, and captures the cheap mentality of old players - a middle-aged man in my thirties, I have long stopped buying monthly and annual passes, but when I saw a discount, I couldn't help but want to try it. However, this also exposed a problem: the playability of the game itself has been severely compressed. Because the values expand so fast, you don't need to operate at all. Just tap the screen wildly to crush them all the way, completely losing the tension of the back and forth in the Dragon Ball animation.
Compare it to the "Dragon Ball Fighting" of the year. Although it is also a card game, at least each character has a clear skill combo. You have to consider positioning and anger control. And this "Super Dimension Adventure" is more like treating Dragon Ball characters as stickers, just stick them on and it's done. The restoration of the plot is pretty good. The early chapters of Big Devil Piccolo were done very carefully, but in the middle and later stages, it was obviously just copy and paste.
Also want to complain about its charging model. It's marked "Charge Mode: 0", but after entering, there are a full screen of recharge pop-ups, including monthly cards, weekly cards, and growth funds. This reminds me of the "free games" in the Symbian era. After playing for half an hour, you had to pay to unlock chapters. This trick of Miru Games really hasn't changed.
In general, if you are a die-hard Dragon Ball fan and want to see a 3D version of Trunks swinging a sword, or miss the feeling of shouting "Kamehameha" as a child, you can play it for two days. Anyway, you can't lose much by paying 6 yuan at a 0.05% discount. But if you are looking for an operational and exploration experience like "Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot", or a hard-core fighting like "Dragon Ball Fighter Z", then forget it. This game is essentially a numerical game. No matter how beautiful the emotional shell is, it cannot hide the fact that it is a reskinned mobile game.
I'm not going to brag about it, but this game is at best above average among similar games. The highlight is that the discounts are sincere, but the disadvantage is that the gameplay is too old. You know, when we played the GBA version of "Dragon Ball Adventure", we really relied on movement and combos to conquer the world. Now these mobile games, alas...it can only be said that times have changed, and we are getting older. 😔
