I still remember that summer, I secretly opened the GBA while hiding in bed, and the pixel-style dinosaur hunter on the screen kept me playing until three in the morning. Each one has a different shape and skill. Some breathe fire, some freeze, and some thunder. I can look at it for a long time just by looking at the illustrated book.
What moved me most was the detail in the destruction of the scene. I controlled the dragon to swallow up the entire village in one go. The towers collapsed and the NPCs fled in panic. The unscrupulous feeling was like returning to the thrill of breaking the city wall with one punch when playing "Monster Hunter" on the PSP. Moreover, the map here is huge, with forests, caves, and castles. Each scene has different creatures and traps. I haven't explored all the areas yet.
Some people say that mobile games don't feel as good as handheld games, but after I optimized the key mapping using an emulator on my phone and combined it with the built-in touch screen operation of "Hungry Dragon", I found it smoother. And you can take it out and play it anytime, anywhere. On the subway or during lunch break, devouring a little sheep can relieve stress for half a day. The only regret is that if there had been a dinosaur game of this quality and size on the GBA back then, I might have skipped more classes, haha.
Overall, if you are a nostalgic handheld player like me who likes collecting, destroying, and cultivating games, "Hungry Dragon" will definitely bring you back the pure joy of the past. Although I still have those emulators on my phone, this mobile game has taken up most of my fragmented time. Phoenix Nirvana, rebirth of fire, my handheld soul is ignited again in mobile games!
