Originally, as a two-dimensional otaku like me, the most mobile games I played were Japanese RPGs with all kinds of card-drawing and exquisite graphics. But one day I was wandering around on TapTap and saw a screenshot of "Ski Adventure 2". I thought it was a promotional picture of some animated movie... but I clicked on it to see, eh? It's actually a parkour game? 😳
But I still didn't believe it and made one, after all, the art style is too suitable for me!
It's not the kind of hard-core realistic European and American 3D, nor is it the quality of a mobile game that's as cheap as a 4399 hot model, but a Japanese style that's a bit cartoony but sophisticated enough to fly. The character design is also adorable. The villain's clothes have a fluffy feel. When the scarf floats up, I seem to hear a "swishing" two-dimensional sound effect. The snowy fields, ice caves, and cabins in the scene can be taken as wallpapers in every frame. I directly changed the mobile phone desktop and lock screen👇
And the most important thing is that although this game is a parkour, the character movements are so smooth that I want to cut a GIF. Every time he jumps and spins, that "ドヤ面" (smug face) is just like the arrogant look of Taiga in my wife's "Dragon and Tiger". Ahem, I'm off topic.
What makes me most outrageous is that I also got into skiing because of this game - the animated parkour scenes in "Shirobako" are similar to this game. Does anyone understand me? If not, I will cry for a while...
One more thing: There are 300 million players in this game, but I dare say that most of them are just playing operations and don't understand our two-dimensional aesthetics. The painting style is so impressive, and although the plot is simple, there are quite a lot of little easter eggs in the background (such as the little penguins that occasionally fly by, I suspect they are easter eggs from the production team), which really impresses my attention to detail!
In short, if you are like me and have no obsession with the combat system, but you can't walk when you see the beautiful graphics, I strongly recommend giving "Ski Adventure 2" a try. I don't ask you to swipe it three times like me, but at least see if its snow scene is worth taking a screenshot to use as your lock screen~ 🌨️✨
