Hello everyone, I am the reviewer who loves to tell the truth. Recently, there are so many card games with the theme of the Three Kingdoms in the mobile game circle that it is dizzying. Someone happened to ask whether "Let Go of the Three Kingdoms" is worth playing. I simply compared several similar masterpieces side by side to see if this old guy can stand up to the challenge. Just pick three common opponents: "Young Three Kingdoms" (typical numerical cards), "Three Kingdoms Fantasy Continent" (mainly focused on upgrading non-waste cards), "Xiaoyao Three Kingdoms" (unpopular but with good art), plus "Let Go of the Three Kingdoms", and talk about it from the four dimensions of graphics, gameplay, krypton gold, and social interaction.
In terms of graphics, "Release the Three Kingdoms" follows the Q version of the cute style. Shota Lu Bu and Loli Diao Chan were really eye-catching back then. The quality of the graphics is a bit rough now, but the art style is unique. In contrast, the painting style of "Young Three Kingdoms" is more refined and Chinese style, while "Three Kingdoms Fantasy Continent" is half Q and half realistic, with much better details and special effects. However, the cuteness of "Release the Three Kingdoms" is still a bit lethal, and the main theme is to be relaxed and not brain-burning. 😄
The core of the gameplay is traditional card collection + development + map pushing, and the battle is automatic turn-based. There is not much room for strategic operation, and it all depends on lineup matching and numerical crushing. From a horizontal perspective, "Young Three Kingdoms" has a similar routine, but with the addition of equipment resonance, red general gold promotion and other systems, the later development line is longer; "Three Kingdoms Fantasy Continent" has a more three-dimensional formation system and general characteristics, and the no-waste card mechanism allows low-star cards to play, and the strategic depth is slightly better. The gameplay of "Release the Three Kingdoms" is relatively old and suitable for light players to hang up. Advanced players may find it boring.
In terms of krypton gold, we must tell the truth: "Release the Three Kingdoms" belongs to the older generation of krypton gold cards, with VIP level, limited-time generals, and fragment synthesis. It can be played with zero krypton but will quickly lose combat power. Without krypton in the later stage, it is basically impossible to push the map. "Young Three Kingdoms" is a typical game where the more you spend, the stronger you get, and the common people can barely keep up with it; "Three Kingdoms Fantasy Continent" is more conscientious, and gives you more every day, and you can get all the illustrations with zero krypton, but you still have to spend krypton if you want to be on the list. Overall krypton ranking: "Young Three Kingdoms" > "Let Go of the Three Kingdoms" ≈ "Xiaoyao Three Kingdoms" > "Three Kingdoms Fantasy Continent". If you are a zero kryptonian, the experience of "Release the Three Kingdoms" will not be as good as the latter.
In terms of social interaction, "Release the Three Kingdoms" has legions and cross-server battles, but the interaction is relatively basic and the chat is not active. Compared with the more lively legion dungeons and world BOSS in "Young Three Kingdoms", the social system of "Three Kingdoms Fantasy Continent" is much more modern, and there are also ways to play such as friendship and banquets. Older games are really lagging behind socially.
To sum up, the advantages of "Release the Three Kingdoms" are sentimentality and lightweight, suitable for nostalgic players or fragmented time; its disadvantages are obvious: monotonous gameplay, deep krypton gold pit, and slow content updates. In terms of horizontal comparison, it is not as comprehensive as "Three Kingdoms Fantasy Continent", but it is easier than "Young Three Kingdoms". It can be regarded as a passable but not outstanding classic game. If you want to get into the Three Kingdoms card game, I suggest you try "Three Kingdoms Fantasy Continent" first; if you just want to see the cute Three Kingdoms generals and feel nostalgic occasionally, you can also play "Let Go of the Three Kingdoms", just don't spend money on it. 🤷♂️
Personal rating (out of 10 points): 7 points for graphics, 5 points for gameplay, 4 points for gold, 5 points for social interaction, and 5.5 points overall. No bragging, no slander, this is my attitude.
