Don't rush to call me a headliner yet. As an otaku who has been involved in two-dimensional games all year round and has no resistance to good-looking vertical paintings, I have played too many games that "look picturesque but make you want to smash your phone when you play them". Some games have vertical paintings, CGs, and character close-ups. Almost every frame can be screenshotted as wallpaper. The voice actors are so luxurious that your ears will get pregnant, and the plot copy is so tear-jerking... But once you enter the battle, my dear, the operation feels like controlling a bunch of slimes. The level design is more maze than a maze. The values are so broken that I can't even save krypton gold. 😅
To be honest, every time I see a work with "the style is so gorgeous, but the gameplay is like a web game ten years ago", I feel that the production team spent all the funds to hire artists and voice actors. The planning is probably code written by feet, right? 😇 Especially in some gacha games, the characters are so beautiful that I call them "wife". However, after playing two rounds, I found that the combat system is more difficult to understand than my advanced math homework. The special effects of the skills are so gorgeous that they cover up the damage numbers. After playing for a long time, I don't know what I am doing... In the end, I can only quit silently and go back to lick the vertical paintings.
but! Just when I was about to develop PTSD from "excellent art", I encountered "Lost Land 2" ✨ This game really made me believe again that "you can have both a good-looking body and an interesting soul"! Not to mention the dreamy scene that looks like falling into a fairy tale book - technological special effects and magical tones, every frame looks like the award-winning work of the official wallpaper competition. Just the "look" alone made me kneel down😍 And the level design is really smart, not the kind of brainless monsters or hard-core hell that relies solely on operation, but full of ingenuity of mysterious mechanisms. When you play, you have a sense of surprise of "ah, it can still be like this". As a combat veteran, I was able to play smoothly and even found exploring the mechanisms more interesting than fighting monsters!
More importantly, this game also has a four-player level mode and a self-created level mode! ! Brothers, the art style is so good and you can play it with friends, or even be a level designer yourself. Isn't this 10,000 times better than those games that are “good-looking but can only be played by one person alone”? 👏 And it's currently free, free! Zero-cost trial and error, if you are a "painting style party" like me, it will definitely be delicious.
So my conclusion is: a game with good graphics but bad gameplay is like Paper Man Wife/Husband - it's OK from a distance, but it's totally awkward when you interact with it😅 But "Lost Land 2" is a treasure that can be watched and played, and you can happily play through the levels with your good friends. Don't ask me how the combat system is, just ask me because I don't care. Anyway, it won't hinder the screen, and the mechanism design is enough to keep a "non-hardcore gamer" like me immersed for half a day🥰
Final friendly reminder: If you are like me and have been heartbroken by some games with "unparalleled beauty and bad feel", why not come to Lost Land to purify your soul. After all, in this era where there are so many pitfalls, finding a game that is both eye-catching and fun to play is harder than drawing cards to get UR😌 Just so I'm going to be the creator of my own levels, feel free to do whatever you want~🎮
