I just finished playing the new round of Arena, so I couldn't help but post it. As an old player who has been involved in strategy cards all year round, I clearly feel that the environment has changed after this version update. Although this change of Mingjiang Three Kingdoms is not earth-shaking, the strength adjustment of several core generals directly affects the offensive and defensive logic of the ladder.
In the past, everyone thoughtlessly piled up meat shields in the front row, combined with the AOE output in the back row, and whoever struck first would win. Now after the update, the hit rate of control cards has been increased. Strategies with built-in debuff effects like Zhuge Liang and Zhou Yu can create more variables in the arena. Yesterday, I used a set of Scorching style with Lu Xun as the core to beat the opponent's pure Shu chopper team with overwhelming combat power. This was almost impossible in the old version. 😏
However, version updates are also a double-edged sword. In the Expedition Trial in the PVE mode, the values of enemies in some levels have been obviously adjusted back, but the mechanism has become more underworld, such as the new "Reinforcement Arrival" round, which can be overturned if you are not careful. This gives a player like me who is used to fixed routines to push maps a bit of a headache, and has to re-examine the positioning and skill release sequence.
Let's talk about the PVP gameplay of One Man at a Level. In the past, the defender had a natural advantage, and stacking three high-star shield soldiers could delay time. Now that the update has weakened the taunt effect, the attacker can focus fire on the back row more flexibly. I tried a few, and as long as I calculated the anger cycle, the success rate of breaking defenses was much higher than before. This is a good thing for players who like manual operation, but it may not be very friendly to players who hang up.
There is never a perfect answer to balance. But Mingjiang Three Kingdoms is at least willing to make adjustments to the version instead of blindly releasing new cards to cheat krypton. Although some changes have weakened the old lineup, but think about it from another perspective, isn't this the fun of strategy games? As soon as the version changes, the ideas have to change accordingly, and the process of researching new routines is very exciting in itself.
Finally, I would like to ask everyone, which military commander do you think is the most worthy of priority training after this update? Is it the enhanced control of Diao Chan, or the explosion of Lu Bu under the new mechanism? Chat in the comment area, I also want to steal a teacher. 🤔
