Let me digress first. Recently, a lot of games adapted from anime IPs have been launched. As an old two-dimensional person, I really love and hate them. Some of them are so restored that I fell to my knees as soon as the illustrations came out, and my whole body went numb as soon as the voice actor spoke; some... well, how should I put it, it's the feeling of "you say it's this IP, I say it's a scam", which is even more uncomfortable than following a series to get the original ending.
But today I'm not here to complain, I'm here to play a game from Amway that makes me really enjoy it, called “Horse to Guard the Sky”.
To be honest, when I first saw the name and the label "Three Kingdoms Tower Defense", I rejected it in my heart. After all, it is not an adaptation of an anime IP, and it is a realistic Three Kingdoms theme. As a face-watching fan, my first reaction was "excuse me." But I couldn't stand my friend who was crazy about Amway and said that the game's illustrations and plot performances were very interesting, so I downloaded it with the mentality of "give it a try, it doesn't cost any money anyway".
The result...fuck? It smells so good.
Let's talk about the vertical painting first. Although it is a realistic style, the vertical painting of each hero of the Three Kingdoms is really full of details. The texture of the armor, the dynamics of the cloak, the light effects of the eyes, and the domineering feeling of the generals directly hit the face. Especially when my favorite character appears, with the close-up of the skill animation, I directly announce: This is my husband!
Then let's talk about voice actors! Although the main focus of the game is strategic tower defense, each hero actually has his own voice, and the lines for skill release, battle victory, and even the beginning of the level are different. Having listened to a lot of anime dubbing, I originally thought it would be a drama, but it turned out that the sound supervisor really understood it. The dubbing style that is calm and a little bit chubby is not inferior to the original drama at all.
Yes, yes, the plot and performance are also very interesting. I'm not talking about how awesome the plot is, but the sense of rhythm of “gathering heroes, grabbing treasures in dungeons, and beating bosses” always makes me feel like “is this from a hot-blooded show?” It's that feeling of “comrades, let's rush together”! Although I haven't played the previous "Three Kingdoms" series, this "Three Kingdoms" series really made me regain some of my passion for watching TV series.
As for the battle system that you are concerned about... Ma, I don't really care anyway. Tower defense allows me to push pictures to read the plot, collect hero drawings, and listen to the voice actors breathing... Oh no, just listening to the voice actors read their lines is enough! However, after playing it for the past few days, I feel that the strategy is quite strong. In the 1V1 Tower Raiders mode, you can manually send troops to fight against each other, which gives you the joy of "fighting wits." Even a handicapped person like me can play with his brain.
In short, if you are like me, the kind of person who "looks at the face first, then listens to the voice, and finally the plot", this game is really worth trying. Although it is not an adaptation of anime IP, the feeling of "making art with heart and dubbing with love" is definitely suitable for Zhui Fan Ren and Ershen Yuan!
I won't say any more, I'm going to continue the liver level and get my wife's favorability level up. 😤✨
