I just played a few games of the new version of the Fairy and Demonic Battlefield, and I feel that this wave of updates has really had a big impact on the competitive environment. As an old player who has been playing since the closed beta, I would like to share my true feelings with you in the forum today.
The biggest change in this version is the numerical adjustment of the dragon raising system. Officially, the attribute growth of young dragons has been cut, but the skill damage coefficient of adult dragons has been increased. To put it bluntly, this change is to lengthen the development cycle, so that the early advantages cannot snowball like before. My own dragon has upgraded from level 3 to level 4. I obviously feel that the explosive ability of team battles in the mid-term is much stronger than before, but the suppression power in the early stage is indeed weaker. Overall, I think this change is reasonable, at least it won't make the game become one-sided after more than 20 minutes.
Let's talk about the adjustment of the gold farming mechanism. This version reduces the gold coin drop rate of wild BOSS, but increases the amount of bound gold produced by daily activities. At first glance, it seems to have narrowed the gap between Krypton gold players and the Liver Emperor, but in reality, it feels like the speed of equipment formation has been affected. My current level 60 red equipment has been enhanced to +12, and I found that the materials cannot keep up. This basically did not happen in previous versions. Fortunately, the newly added gang escort mission can replenish some resources, leaving a way for civilian players to survive.
What surprises me most about this update is the revamped matching mechanism for camp battles. In the past, we often encountered two or three high-fighting groups from the opposite camp, and our spawn point was blocked and beaten. Now the matching will be dynamically adjusted based on the total combat power of the camp. Although the waiting time in the queue has become longer, at least there is a round-trip in every game. I played six camp battles today, winning three and losing three. I could play a full fifteen minutes in each game, and the experience was indeed much better.
In terms of skill balance, the new version strengthens the AOE ability of the Sword Immortal, but weakens the group healing gain of the Wet Nurse. This leads to the current team battles. Whoever has the sword fairy with good equipment and good position can take advantage of the head-on firefight. I saw someone complaining on the forum that wet nurses are completely useless, but I think this statement is a bit exaggerated. The position of wet nurses in the defensive counterattack system is still irreplaceable, but they can no longer stand as mindlessly as before.
Finally, I would like to mention an area that I think needs to be optimized. There are too few channels to obtain the new version of spirit beast skill books, and high-end skill books are basically monopolized by big gangs. It is very difficult for individual players to put together an ideal set of skill combinations. It is recommended that the official can provide a way to obtain it from the Chamber of Commerce with weekly purchase limits, even if it costs some silver ingots.
In general, although this version has some problems with resource acquisition, the competitive experience is indeed much better than before. At least there are more variables in each game now, and it is no longer a simple battle of crushing. I hope the official can continue to optimize on this basis to make the competitive environment healthier. What do fellow Taoists think of the new version? Let's share it in the comment area.
