Let me start by saying that I am a pure risk controler of two-dimensional paintings. As long as the vertical paintings are good-looking and the plot can impress me, I can close my eyes and watch your battle system even if it is made into a PPT. But some games are really... so beautiful that I call them "wife", but as soon as I enter the gameplay interface, I feel like I've been stepped on by a nightmare beast and I can't move.
Speaking of this, I have to mention one of my favorites recently: "Ye Luoli Time Sand" 🔥
Sisters, I was really attracted by its style of painting. The sleeping pop-up of the ice princess was so beautiful that it made me want to rush into the screen and pick her out😭 The cold and fragile temperament, coupled with the special effects of broken ice floating in the dream, I decided on the spot - even if this game is a puzzle game, a handicap like me must bite the bullet.
And guess what? The puzzle solving of this game is surprisingly... not encouraging?
I was already mentally prepared for "another person who relies on IP to cheat Krypton, and the gameplay is so bad that I want to throw my phone." But the puzzle of Time Sand is actually the kind that won't knock your IQ down to the ground, but it won't make you so bored that you want to sleep. The plot advancement is closely integrated with the original work. The setting of true, false, good and evil in Princess Dream, I really thought it was an ordinary "blackening and whitewashing" routine at first, but as a result, every time I passed a level, there were a lot of question marks in my mind? ? ? Who is behind this? Is there another secret behind the Ice Princess's deep sleep?
Anyway, I am a drama person and have a great time playing it.
And to be honest, what I fear most about games adapted from Chinese comics is that "the name is familiar and the plot is completely broken." However, the extension of the plot of Time Sand actually made an old fan like me feel like "I didn't follow the original in vain". It's not the cruelty of force-feeding blades, but the tenderness of "you only realize when you get closer that there is such a story behind this character."
(Here are some games with beautiful graphics but poor plots. Please reflect on yourselves😅)
By the way, I have to praise the voice actors. I listened to the "sleeping" voice of the Ice Princess over a dozen times. The cold and sad ending made me goosebumps but I couldn't bear to turn it off. Princess Meng's voice is even more amazing, the ambiguity of "you can't tell if she's real or fake", the voice actor really nailed it.
Speaking of this, I remembered the pitfalls I had stepped on in those years: the painting style was exquisite, the voice actors were all-star, but the gameplay interface opened - "Please recharge to unlock automatic battle"? ? ? Or is it a turn-based system where "you can move, but you don't have to"? ? ?
I admit that I'm a coward, and I really don't care much about the combat system. But you can at least give me, a nerd, something to play with! Otherwise, I can only smile at the vertical painting and uninstall it, even without my wife.
Finally, to summarize: Ye Luoli's Cinderella has a style that I could lick the screen for three days and three nights. The plot is based on the original work, and the puzzle difficulty is just right in the comfort zone of "a little challenging but not enough to look up the guide" for a person like me who is not very bright. At least after playing it so far, I don't have that aggrieved feeling of “I've been cheated again”.
Anyway, an old house like me who dares to jump into any trap for the sake of painting style has found a treasure this time✨
If you are also the kind of player on the same channel who "draws style first, plot second, and skips the battle system if you can", you can really give it a try.
After all, who would refuse a fateful encounter with an ice princess in a dream? 🌙
