Let me start with the conclusion: I originally rejected the game "Candy Crush". The name smelled like a browser game and the developer had never heard of it. They also compared it to "Candy Crush Saga" and said it was "just as fun" - I wanted to laugh at that time. But since it was marked as single-player, free, and no in-app purchases, I just played it as a way to kill time, and the result... was really delicious.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying it's innovative, it's just a standard match-3 gameplay, but it's clean. There is no stamina bar, no recharge pop-up window, no forced connection to the Internet, and no underworld level design that says “you will be stuck if you don't recharge”. I have played more than 100 levels of level 388, and the difficulty curve is pretty normal. I occasionally get stuck, but with the props and brains it provides, I can always get past it. This is called a game.
Picture? The candy effects are indeed gaudy, but not cheap. The sound effects are quite decent, and the gameplay is "click to swap and eliminate". This type of game is already bad on mobile phones, but it can really be played. What satisfies me the most is that it is not like those krypton gold card drawing games, where every day you sign in, you will get ten consecutive games, and then let you become a grandson in the probability. This game honestly lets you match candies. Match four at a time to get striped candies, match five to get colorful candies, have matryoshka dolls explode, and occasionally be blinded, which is quite a relief.
The charging mode says 0. I checked and found that there are indeed no payment points. There may be built-in ads, but there were no ads when I played. Even if there were, I tolerated it because of the sincerity of being free and free of charge.
Of course, we have to mention the shortcomings: the theme is old-fashioned, the randomness of some levels will make people a little speechless, and the slogan "as fun as Candy Crush Saga" is too low. Couldn't you just say "free stand-alone version of Candy Crush Saga"? At least I didn't lie to you, it really tastes like that.
In short, if you are fed up with the kind of mobile games that "pay a penny to start, and the ending depends on your face", and want to play something to kill time while squatting, this game can be played. Don't expect it to be great, but at least it respects players.
For this reason, I pushed. 👍
