I clicked in and played for ten minutes, and I was stunned.
This is not a tribute to the Red Alert. This is taking off the Red Alert's skin and putting it into a card-drawing skeleton, and then stuffing it into your mobile phone to force you to earn money. You need fragments to upgrade your troops. The fragments come out of boxes. The boxes need diamonds to buy them, and the diamonds need to be recharged. You told me this is called a "every second counts strategy"? What counts every second is the balance in your wallet.
The most outrageous thing is the resource war of "taking over the city and becoming king". To put it bluntly, it is a reskinned ranking PVP. The Kryptonian guy will crush you with a max-level Apocalypse tank, and you can't even get out of the base. The campaign mode is even more perfunctory. You can fool through the classic Red Alert level by changing a few maps. The operation feels like shit, and the unit AI is so stupid that it will hit the opponent's turret in the face.
I just want to ask, Beijing Chengyou Network Technology Co., Ltd., when you made this game, did you have any respect for Westwood in your heart?
Okay, after you finish scolding, tell the truth.
If you are a veteran Red Alert player like me, don't touch this thing, it will only insult your childhood. If you have never played Red Alert, don't touch this thing, because it will make you think that real-time strategy is just such a rubbish card collision.
But if you insist on retaliating against society on your mobile phone and experience what "paying money to buy suffering" means, then "Red Alert Battle" can satisfy you - after all, even the charging mode has "0" written on it. When you enter, it all starts with 0, followed by a string of numbers that will make your heart beat.
Anyway, my journey of indie game discovery hit the ground running today, so please take a detour for me. 😅
