Can you understand that feeling? I just wanted to play and relax for ten minutes before going to bed, but when I looked up, the window was already white. The milk tea on hand has long since cooled down, and the screen of the mobile phone is dimly lit. I am still holding the mobile phone and giggling. With a wave of the magic wand, there are a few more pumpkins in the farmland... This kind of immersion is really foul!
In fact, at first I was attracted by the little witch on the cover. She has pigtails and a round face, and she looks very much like the quirky magical girl in the cartoons I watched when I was a kid. As a result, I couldn't get out of the game at all. The game "Dream Magic House", how can I put it, does not have particularly intense fighting, nor does it have a countdown to rush you to complete the task. It just allows you to quietly farm, decorate the room, raise some small creatures, and occasionally follow Ruby out to explore the adventure map.
But it's this slow pace that's particularly addicting, especially late at night. Once a person calms down, those irritating things during the day are like being temporarily sealed away by a magic wand. You can slowly change the wallpaper of Ruby's cabin, cast a spell to make the saplings grow into a small forest, and then run into the jungle to chase a glowing butterfly... No one is chasing you, no one is chasing you, it seems that only you and this magical world are breathing in the whole world. It really feels like reading a fairy tale book before going to bed, which is super healing.
By the way, I want to focus on the jungle adventure part. It's really not the kind of perfunctory running map. There will be small puzzles in it. Sometimes it's a stone that needs to be lit in order, sometimes it's to help a lost little mushroom find its way home. Last night, I was stuck in a maze of underwater routes. I was so confused that I still didn't want to log out. I had to unlock the crystal ball code. When I finally cleared the level, I was so excited that I almost jumped out of bed. I was afraid of disturbing my roommate, so I suppressed my laughter under the quilt. Just...silly, but happy.
And the room decoration system is simply a source of joy for obsessive-compulsive players. I spent almost an hour trying to arrange the windows and vases perfectly symmetrically. Halfway through, I slipped my hand and placed the purple magic carpet that I had managed to pull out on the bedside. I felt that the light was blocked, so I rearranged it several times. To be honest, I have never been so active in cleaning my room in real life.
Of course, there are times when I get confused. One time, I found that there were a few magic stones missing from my backpack. I thought about them for a long time and couldn't figure out where they were. However, I found out the next day that I was sleepy in the middle of the night and used the magic stones as fertilizer to spread in the field... Forget it, let's just treat it as a little enrichment for the pumpkins. Anyway, they grew happier.
In short, if you are looking for a game that allows you to sit down and immerse yourself in it slowly, I think "Dream Magic House" is very suitable. Especially for someone like me who is used to practicing spirituality in the middle of the night, it really is like a gentle refuge. There is no need to use your brain to compete with others, no need to rush to catch up with the progress, just hold the little wand and lead Ruby, and tidy up your own little world little by little.
Okay, it's really getting light, I have to go to bed... I hope that next time I go online, my little magic plant won't be angry because I didn't water it in time. Good night, no, good morning everyone 🌿🌙
