I still remember the days when I was hiding under the covers and playing GVG with my PSP. The feel of the hand, the exhilarating feeling of rubbing, my fingers are getting hot just thinking about it now. Later, when I started working, my handheld computer became dusty, but my passion for driving the Gundam never cooled down.
Until recently, a friend gave me "Gundam Clash" on Amway. I originally wanted to play a mobile game. Isn't it just a game that draws money and adds automatic battles? As soon as I started using it, hey, it really feels like the old days!
The most surprising thing is its operation logic. The virtual joystick and buttons actually restore the feeling of making combos on the PSP by 70% to 80%. Although it cannot be said to be exactly the same, the ballistic feel of a knife penetrating into flesh and shooting in close combat made me, an old pilot, instantly feel my blood pressure rise. Especially when playing in the arena with Freedom Gundam, I almost shouted "Kira Yamato is possessed" when I hit him with a set of combos!
Compared with the original handheld game, the mobile version is definitely more gorgeous in terms of graphic details, the body modeling is also exquisite, and the special effects seem to be free of charge. But to be honest, I still miss the grainy pixels and simple and crude judgment on the PSP back then. However, the optimization of "Gundam Clash" on mobile phones is indeed of high quality. At least it does not drop frames or heat up, and it can still perform combos. This is an unexpected surprise for the simulator party.
Now I'm confused. I always thought about using an emulator on my mobile phone to play the PSP version, but the touch screen operation was always boring. This mobile game has polished the touch screen solution very smoothly. It seems that the manufacturer really understands us old players. Now I turn on the phone and play the story mode twice every day and collect the mobile units. I feel like my youth is really back. The energy of rushing home after school to open the PSP is rekindled!
If you are also an old Gundam fan and can't find a good handheld simulator, you might as well try this. Anyway, I'm really into it. Apart from the GBA Pokemon emulator, it's the one that takes up the longest time on my phone. I hope every middle-aged pilot can find that glimmer of glory in mobile games. 🕹️🔥
