I just finished the new DLC Pharmacist, and while the excitement is still there, I quickly came to chat with the Night Owl sisters. Really, this game is perfect for late-night parties like us. How should I put it? It's the kind of game where you obviously just want to play a couple of games before going to bed, but then it's dawn when you look up. But it's not the kind of adrenaline-fueled excitement, but a particularly quiet and immersive comfort.
The game itself is a card game with a dark fairy tale style. There is no forced novice guidance, and you are given a fairy tale book to flip through and play by yourself. I especially like this feeling. I won't tell you to click here and there as soon as I start. I just explore quietly, just like when I was a child, I would hide under the quilt and read a storybook in the middle of the night. Each chapter has random events, and sometimes choosing an option triggers strange plots, which really feels like a dream.
The gameplay is a turn-based card game, but the pace is very slow and boring. After being beaten by life during the day, I lay in bed at night, supporting my head with one hand and counting cards slowly with the other hand, watching the characters walk and walk in the dark forest. The atmosphere was really amazing. Even if the deck is not formed and you lose, you won't be angry. Just treat it as watching a small branch story, which is particularly healing.
Let's focus on the new pharmacist DLC! It will be launched on September 22nd. Old players like me will definitely rush in immediately. The new professional pharmacist is really interesting. He can mix potions to deal damage, and also has some debuff mechanisms. For sisters who like to study routines, they can play for a long time. The new boss is also designed to have the eerie feeling of a fairy tale. You won't feel irritated when fighting it, but you will be curious about the story behind it.
Although the game is labeled as light card strategy, it is actually quite deep. I have been playing for more than ten hours. Every time I choose a route, I encounter new events and the card combinations are ever-changing. And there are no mandatory fees! I won't force you to make in-app purchases, just rely on your conscience.
Anyway, I decided to make it my regular bedtime routine this month. If you are like me and like to play games quietly late at night, but don't want to play those annoying online competitive games, you can really try this. Okay, let's not talk anymore, I'm a little hungry, so I went to search the refrigerator to find some midnight snacks, and then... maybe I can play another game? 😴🌙
