To be honest, when I first saw the game "Crazy Marksman", what popped into my mind was the days when I used Nokia N95 to play "City Skyscraper" and "Deer Hunter" more than ten years ago. There was no real 3D at that time. Mobile phone screens were as small as matchboxes. When a deer ran over, it was just a few pixels. When you raised the muzzle and swiped, you hit a deer leg. If you missed, you could only watch the pixels fly away and slap your thigh in anger. But it's that simple feeling that makes people play on their phones all night, and their eyelids tremble in class the next day.
I'm not bragging, but now I can't play with those old antiques anymore, but I keep those feelings deep in my heart, and it's quite warm to take them out to bask in the sun occasionally.
So when I opened "Crazy Marksman", to be honest, I was a little surprised. Isn't this the fully evolved version of Hun'er back then? I won't go into details about the graphics. The 3D hunting scenes on the 5.0 platform are made of grass and trees. It can be seen that they have been seriously polished. What impresses me the most is how well it combines real ecology with gameplay - not in terms of how perverted the beast AI is, but the feeling of holding your breath in the wilderness and looking for traces of prey through the scope. It really brings me back to the nights when I was hiding in bed and staring at the small Nokia screen.
Nowadays, any mobile game would like to have ten recharge entrances and a bunch of fancy VIP privileges. "Crazy Marksman" is actually free. I played for more than an hour without encountering any "stamina is low, please recharge" problem. The firearm system is surprisingly solid. From bolt-action to semi-automatic, the difference in feel can be clearly felt. The vibration of the shooting feedback and the sound of the gun are also just right. It is so comfortable when a headshot is fired.
The newly opened Arena mode is also quite interesting. You can compete with real players to hunt targets, and you can compare your accuracy and speed. The tension is much stronger than in the stand-alone mode. The matching speed is pretty good at the moment, but I once ran into a player whose opponent was obviously an old hunter. The opponent hit the target three times in a row, which made my blood pressure rise. Hahahaha.
Not to brag, there are some minor flaws in the game. For example, the novice tutorial is a little rushed. When you first get started, you will occasionally get dizzy when changing the viewing angle. In addition, the modeling details of some firearms can be polished. But considering that it can still do this for free now, I think it's worth it.
Finally, let's talk about nostalgia. From Symbian to Android to iOS, from pixels to high-definition 3D, twenty years have passed in a flash. The friends from back then had long since gone their separate ways, but the joy of hunting, the heart-pounding feeling of holding your breath while aiming for prey, has been restored in this new game. Maybe what I miss is not all those old games, but the myself who could play them all afternoon.
If you are also an old player who has come from the era of feature phones, or simply want to find a hunting mobile game with a solid shooting feel, it is recommended to try "Crazy Marksman". The moment you pull the trigger, maybe you will also think of something. 😌
