I played this game for three days. From the initial "what the hell" thing to the later "really delicious", it can be regarded as a process of attitude change. Let's talk about the conclusion first: if you are a fan of military themes and don't want to spend too much energy on mobile games, then this game is worth a try, but only if you accept its “placement” nature.
Picture/sound effects: give it 7.5 points. The details of the tank modeling are pretty good, including classic models such as the Tiger and T-34. The turret rotation and track vibration when firing are all in place. The UI interface has a tough military style, and the color scheme is dark, which is in line with the theme and temperament. However, the combat special effects are actually relatively simple. There is no exaggerated light pollution, and low-end mobile phones can run smoothly. In terms of sound effects, the roar of the engine and the sound of gunfire are quite impressive, but the BGM loops are a bit boring, so I usually just turn them off.
How to play: Give it 8 points. The core gameplay is to collect tanks → upgrade → push pictures → hang up and collect food, which is a standard placement cycle. But the highlight is that each tank has different weapon slots and skill combinations. For example, the Tiger is equipped with high-explosive bombs for AOE, and the Sherman is equipped with a machine gun turret for critical strikes. The combination is a bit interesting. Two-player competition is a real-time match. Although the operations are only to use skills and adjust formations, restraint needs to be considered, not mindless combat power crushing. The land-air linkage gameplay is a small innovation. You can call in aircraft for bombing support, which is still refreshing.
Cash/Charge: This game is actually completely free, with no monthly card and no forced advertising. The developer seems to be drinking from the northwest wind? But then I thought about it, the krypton gold points are hidden in tank fragments and acceleration props. In the later stage, you have to waste time without spending money. Fortunately, idle games already have idle benefits, and ordinary players can survive and get ahead, just don't compare with the big guys in the rankings.
Social: average. There is a legion system where you can make donations in exchange for resources, but there is not much actual interaction. Two-player competition requires a team. At this time, it is more convenient to call people from the legion. There is no world channel chat, and the public chat rooms are basically asking each other to donate fragments, and the atmosphere is more Buddhist.
In addition, there are some shortcomings: the push map will be obviously weak in the mid-term, and it is difficult to break through the bottleneck of combat power without hanging up for a day and night; the balance of tanks is average, and some S-level tanks are much stronger than A-level tanks, and the development route is relatively fixed. And what does "Connect 5.0 platform" mean? I checked it and it should be able to run on Android 5.0+ system, and the compatibility is pretty good.
Overall rating: 7.8/10. It is suitable to be recommended to friends who like military themes, have a lot of fragmented time, and do not reject idle gameplay. If you are looking for a deep and hard-core strategy game, you will probably be disappointed, but as a side game for casual fishing, "Brothers of Tanks" is indeed the "really good" option. 😏
