This is my first time to play this kind of puzzle escape game. I have only played dot-and-dot games before, so I was confused as soon as I entered this red mansion. The picture is so exquisite. The big house looks eerie, but not scary. It just has that mysterious feeling. As soon as I entered, I started messing around and wanted to touch everything I saw. As a result, I turned the ashes in the fireplace all over the floor and clicked on the picture frames on the wall several times. I just didn't know how to trigger the plot hahahaha.
The funniest thing is that I was stuck in the first level for a long time, looking for the key, and found that the key was hidden under the carpet at the door. I obviously read the puzzle hints, but my mind just couldn't figure it out. Then I finally found it, and I was so happy that I almost jumped out of my chair. My roommate thought I had won the lottery 😂
The game tells the story of Lucia saving her brother, Ulf, who turns out to be a werewolf! This setting is so cool. At first I thought it was just about finding a key to open the door, but I didn't expect there were fantasy plots like werewolves and witches. Lucia ran into this red mansion for an adventure in order to save her brother. I was involved in it while playing. I felt that I was just like her, scared and brave, and focused on moving forward.
This game is really suitable for novices like us because its prompt system is particularly friendly. When I got stuck, I clicked on the prompt. It wouldn't tell you the answer directly, but would guide you in which direction to think, so I finally solved it on my own! Every time I solve a trap by myself, the sense of accomplishment is so great that I take screenshots and send them to my friends to show off, haha.
And the collection of items inside is also quite interesting. At first, I didn't know what those messy things could be used for, such as feathers and chains, but later I found out that they were all props for passing levels. Once I took a candle, but it took me a long time to remember to use it, and I lit the candlestick next to the secret door. The secret door opened with a click, which shocked me and made me super excited!
I've reached the middle of the game and am getting better and better at it. It feels like this game is telling a fairy tale with a touch of adventure, and Lucia's affection for her brother is particularly touching. Although I'm still figuring it out, I'm completely hooked.
I sincerely recommend it to friends who are new to puzzle games like me. Don't be afraid of being stupid. Just click a few more times if you get stuck. If you really can't get it, just read the prompts and you can pass it slowly. Escape Room 8 Red Mansion is really fun, I'm already ready to catch up on the previous ones! Thanks to the big guys who recommended me, Mengxin is here to bow to you all🙇♀️
