I have watched a few mobile game games recently, and to be honest, I feel that the tactical routines of many projects are now a bit too solid. The lineups are the same over and over again, and the operating rhythm seems to be following a template, and the enjoyment is actually declining. But when I first started the cross-server alliance battle of "Star Jump", I found a little bit of the enthusiasm that I had when I watched the early days of KPL.
What irritates me most about this game is that it is not a numerical game that mindlessly accumulates combat power and then automatically fights. In wheel battle PK, the formation of the alliance is very important. Who will go first and who will go last, and what formation to bring to restrain the opponent. These must be done well before the battle begins. Yesterday I watched the top ten leagues of our server play in a tournament. Three teams in a row were kited to death by the same person using frigates. That operation made me slap my thigh. Isn't this more interesting than GG in some games where the team is wiped out in one wave? 😤
Moreover, the championship of "Star Jump" involves thousands of warships fighting online on the same screen. The chaos of the battlefield can really force the players' ability to make on-the-spot judgments. Not only do you have to take care of your own team, but you also have to check whether there are any stealers on the flanks, whether the output of the back row has been cut off, and the command channel is full of voice shouts, which is more nervous than watching the official live broadcast of the game. I think if this kind of gameplay can be used in offline games in the future, the viewing quality will definitely not lose to that of traditional MOBA.
Of course, as an old viewer, I still have to say something objectively. There is still room for adjustment in the current balance of the game. For example, the AOE damage of a certain series of ships is a bit over the top in the later stages of the championship. I hope that the version update can slightly reduce it. Otherwise, the game lineup will become the same again, and it will lose its flavor. 🥲
Finally, I would like to tell my friends who like to watch games in this forum, if you are tired of the fixed bo3 routines in the current mainstream mobile game competitions, you can really try the alliance battle of "Star Jump". At least I found a long-lost excitement in it, relying on my brain and operation to make a comeback. Does anyone have a hack together? Our league is short of someone who can command the secondary team, come and carry me hahaha🚀
