To be honest, when I saw this game called "My Pet", my first reaction was "it's another skin-changing game". But after actual experience, I found that it is far more three-dimensional than imagined - in other words, it has achieved the level of "raising a baby on the cloud" to the extent that people love it and hate it.
Picture (7/10)
The painting style is Q-cute, the animation when the pet egg breaks out of its shell is quite cute, and the details of the hair and eyes are above average among similar mini-games. However, the overall UI has a slightly dated feel, and the layout of some buttons is a bit crowded. Fortunately, the clothing and furniture modeling in the dressing system are quite detailed, and the combination does not appear to be obvious or stiff. In addition, the particle effects of different foods and bath bubbles are a bit crude, but considering the size of the game, it is acceptable.
Gameplay (8/10)
This is its core charm. On the surface, you have to take care of eating, drinking, bathing and sleeping. In fact, it turns "responsibility" into a small simulated economic system. Pets have multiple values such as hunger, cleanliness, mood, etc., and they will lose their temper if you are not careful - this is much more cumbersome than raising a Tamagotchi in the past, but it also makes it more immersive. What impressed me most were the dozens of mini-games, from cutting fruit to finding faults to flipping cards. They are rich in variety and have a reasonable difficulty curve, so you won't get bored. The key is that these mini-games can earn gold coins and rare gems, and the gems are directly related to the limited costumes. This forms a cycle of "earning money-dressing-making money again", and once it starts, it is difficult to stop.
Krypton Gold (9/10)
The charging mode mark is 0, and there is indeed no mandatory krypton gold point in the actual experience. There are no VIP privileges, no physical walls, and there are very few ads. Rare gems can theoretically be mined repeatedly through mini-games, but the probability is impressive. If you are willing to spend time, you can play and collect them all for zero yuan. This is a refreshing change in today's mobile gaming environment, and I must give it high marks.
Social (6/10)
The social attribute is weak, there is no mutual visits between friends or pet marriage gameplay, there is only a simple ranking list to see whose mini-game score is higher. Maybe it lacks a display channel for players who like to show off, but on the other hand, it also reduces the frustration of being crushed by the rich, and it can be regarded as a quiet space to develop.
Overall rating: 7.5/10
This is a development sketch that is suitable for playing slowly in fragmented time. It is suitable for players who like to simulate management and collect costumes. If you come here for hard-core operations or fierce battles, then it is not suitable for you; but if you want to experience the ups and downs of "raising a baby through all the hardships" and enjoy the sense of accomplishment of raising a pet into a handsome boy or beautiful girl through your own labor, then it is definitely worth a try.
Finally, a friendly reminder: Don't let your pet play mini-games when it's hungry, otherwise it will cry in front of your screen. The picture... is really heartbreaking. 😭
