I just finished the last chapter of the story mode, and it's almost dawn outside the window. Originally I just wanted to play a casual game before going to bed, but it got out of hand.
I'm a little embarrassed to say it, but the moment I played with the remaining health of the machine in the back and the BGM sounded, my hands were shaking. I knew clearly that the person facing me was just an AI, but I couldn't control the feeling of excitement. 😭
I particularly like the slow-burn feeling in this game. There are no messy pop-ups forcing you to spend money, and there are no mandatory social tasks. Just quietly choose a machine you like, adjust the equipment strategy, and then fight slowly. For someone like me who likes to grind alone late at night, it's really perfect.
It may sound a bit inappropriate to say it, but I wanted to post this in the music section because of the adapted animation soundtracks in the game. It's that kind of thing where the headphones are plugged in, the surroundings are pitch black, and only the battlefield sound effects and the engine sound of the aircraft are left. The whole world becomes quiet, leaving only you and the passionate plot on the screen. With the burning feeling in the melody, I really can't help but hum it along with the rhythm.
I even played some songs on loop for almost half an hour. While listening to the soundtrack and watching the attack movements of the machines, I always feel like those machines are glowing.
But I still have to complain about myself. I promised to go to sleep after finishing a mission, but when I looked up, it was almost dawn😅 This kind of self-control is probably the legendary debuff exclusive to night owl players.
But if I do it again I will stay up late to finish it.
Gundam in the early morning is really different.
