I often see people arguing in forums about how many points should be given to a certain game. In fact, the rating is quite subjective. I usually break it down into four dimensions: picture, gameplay, monetization, and social interaction, and finally combine it into one score. Today I just happened to borrow the game "Brave Breakout" to talk to you about how I score it, and also take advantage of it.
Let's talk about the graphics first. This game is a work on the 5.0 platform, but the art style is unexpectedly pleasing. The metal armor of medieval knights and the animal skin and bone ornaments of primitive tribes are quite recognizable, and the wings of the griffins and pterosaurs are exciting when they fly. However, the details are definitely not comparable to those of major manufacturers, the textures are a bit rough, and the scene switching occasionally freezes. Therefore, I give the picture a 7, which is not amazing, but it is above average for this platform.
Let's talk about gameplay, this is its core highlight. "Brave Breakout Track" combines time travel and strategic battles. You not only have to consider the speed and attack distance of your units, but you also have to use the terrain and props on the track to create a collision advantage. The knight has high defense but is afraid of control, the mammoth has thick blood but is slow to turn, and the pterosaur is flexible but squishy. This kind of rock-paper-scissors restraint relationship requires you to use your brain in every game. The level design is also rich enough, from grassland to snow mountain to lava, each picture has a different mechanism, so you won't get bored after playing two games. I can give 8.5 points for the gameplay. The point deduction is that the novice tutorial is a bit rudimentary. After clearing the first game, I figured out how to make the knight charge with a shield.
The Krypton gold aspect must be highlighted. The charging model is 0. Yes, you read that right, it is completely free. There are no physical limits or paid props, and skins are all unlocked by clearing levels. I haven't seen such a clean game in a long time. Maybe its goal is to gain reputation. The social system is relatively weak. There are no friends to form a team, and there are no guild battles. There is only an asynchronous ranking list where you can watch other players' clearance videos and give them a like.
