To be honest, I don't usually play this kind of multiplayer SLG, I always think it's too noisy. But this game was dragged into my game by a friend, who said it was a western-themed game about building a city and fighting, and the pace was quite slow. Result... Oh boy, she lied to me😭 It was indeed quite leisurely during the day, farming land and upgrading buildings, it felt like running a small ranch. But at night, especially after twelve o'clock, all those old players appear like night owls.
I literally stayed up all night playing this game several times. One time on a Friday night, I was quietly upgrading the castle, and suddenly a neighbor on the map sent troops to burn down my house. I'm usually a Buddhist person, but I couldn't bear it when someone hit me at the door. I ordered my troops to fight on the spot. After fighting for about forty minutes, we held the position and quickly built walls and raised troops. But just half an hour later, the other side came again, bringing more people. I was so excited at the time that I posted a message on the World Channel saying "Who's still awake?"... As a result, more than a dozen people responded. Really, at one o'clock in the morning, the western continent is full of crazy people who don't sleep like me 😂
Later, we formed a small alliance to support each other at night. To be honest, the best part of this game is this feeling of "being bullied on the other side of the map, and the alliance brothers got up in the middle of the night to help you". In war, the time, place, and people are favorable, and whoever stays longer will live longer. I defended the city until after three o'clock last night. Finally, I was exhausted. I handed over the command to a jet-lagged party member and fell asleep. When I woke up in the morning and saw our flags on the map several times, I felt proud and wanted to cry.
To be honest, this game is not for people who are in a hurry. You have to wait for soldiers to be slowly built, resources to be accumulated slowly, and even to attack others, you have to calculate the marching time first. But it is this slow rhythm, coupled with the quiet mobile phone screen late at night, that makes me feel particularly comfortable. After a busy day during the day, although there were only a few scattered sentences on the World Channel at night, someone answered every sentence, as if there were really a group of night owls accompanying you in the next room.
Okay, I've talked so much again. I have to go to work tomorrow, and I vow not to touch that western continent tonight. …Unless someone comes to hit me.
That's different. 🌙
