Brothers, I really broke my defense. I worked overtime until nine o'clock today and was browsing the forum on my way home. I saw that the mobile game "Prophecy World" was actually online. It was the officially authorized 2.5D version of the PC game Prophecy OL. Ten years ago, I stayed up all night to siege the city, and ten years later, I stayed up all night to edit PPTs. You said this life was easy... but I still honestly clicked the download button.
To be honest, as a social worker who commutes two hours a day and only has a 40-minute lunch break, my choice of games now is based on three words: being able to hang up. I don't expect to be as nervous as when I was in school. I just want to be able to operate with one hand on the subway, which is packed like a sardine can. I don't want to feel bad when I die, and I can find memories online. This aspect of "Prophecy World" really struck a chord with me. The smell of the PC game is still there - rage transformation, dual-system skills, and the siege battle map. My DNA was directly moved. But here's the point, it doesn't force you to watch it every day, just take it upon yourself to do daily tasks, take a look at it during your lunch break, and your experience will still increase. For people like me who just want to lie down after working overtime, this is a social savior.
As for the graphics, 2.5D is not a choice for mobile phones. The thousand-yuan phone I bought last year actually runs without lag, which is a good comment. The art style of the client games back then is quite similar. Once you enter the main city, the name of the old friends gang is still there (although the people may have changed several times). Siege War is said to be played on a server with ten thousand people. I squeezed in twice and there were indeed a lot of people. Fortunately, there are automatic pathfinding and intelligent combat. Otherwise, with my presbyopia and handicap, I would probably have a black and white screen without even being able to see where the enemy is.
What struck me the most were the "lightweight" small details: dungeons can be cleared, and equipment-making materials can be earned offline. I even worked overtime until two o'clock in the morning yesterday, and found that I still received offline experience when I went online. I instantly felt that the game was more sensible than the boss👍. Of course, if you insist on saying that it's just about exchanging feelings from PC games, I'm not a big deal. After all, at our age, if we can spend fifteen minutes a day to regain some of the passion of the past, and then chat with a few old buddies in the guild channel, we don't need a bicycle.
The final words of truth: The game has not changed, I have. In the past, what I pursued was the excitement of being defeated by thousands of people. Now I just want to be able to hang out for a while during my lunch break. Don't let the red dots bother me. It's the best companionship. If you are like me, you want to be nostalgic but are afraid of liver, why not take a lunch break to come down and have a look, maybe the brothers from back then are still online. Forget it, the subway is here and I have to go to work. Remember to call me during the night siege - of course, I have to check if you have worked overtime first...😂
