I first reported my home. I went there to "clear the level as quickly as possible". In the second game, I finished the main storyline in about six hours. This game is not complicated, but many resource points and task sequences are particular. Let me share some practical and proven information.
The most critical thing in the early stage is not to rush to push the main line. As soon as you enter the game, pick up everything you can around the shelter, including stones, wood, and berries, and leave no one behind. Make the workbench first, and then attack the iron spear directly. Don't make bows and arrows, and don't make wooden spears. Iron spears are cost-effective, have fast attack speed and high attack power. The key is that they are durable enough. They can save a lot of bandage time when hunting wolves and wild boars.
In terms of food, don't do barbecue unless you have supplies overflowing. When making roasted berries, two berries can make one serving. Although the filling effect is not as good as barbecue, it is cost-effective and does not take up a backpack. In the early stage, backpack grids are more valuable than lives, and every grid you can save is worth it.
The resource refresh time is about forty minutes in real time. The key to speeding up is to get stuck in this cycle. Plan the route before going to the map, record the refresh time by the way, and then go there when you get there. This will make map running much more efficient.
There are a number of very critical NPC villager tasks in the game. You can jump if you can, but there is one that you must do - the one that requires three pieces of styptic grass and a piece of animal skin, and the reward is a backpack expansion. This priority is higher than anything else. Doing a few more squares will save you several trips.
Regarding injuries, let's focus on this. If you are bitten by a wolf or gored by a wild boar, don't use a bandage to recover blood. The cost is high and you can't afford it in the early stage. Three parts of herbs and one piece of cloth are used to create a first aid kit, which is half as effective as a bandage. The disadvantage is that it occupies a larger space, but the benefits are positive. In the later stage, the researcher can also exchange the blueprints of the medical box, and the materials are not difficult to find. Keep two more for finishing the level.
This is how I fought the BOSS at the end of the level: clear the outer circle of mobs first, lure them one by one and beat them one by one, but don't rush them. The BOSS body has a flaw in turning around. When it shakes forward and raises its hand to hit the ground, it can go around its back by moving sideways twice, and it can move away after two hits from behind. Don't be greedy. In the second stage, it will spit venom, stand outside the venom and circle around, wait for it to finish sprinting, then output two sets before pulling away.
As for weapons, I ended up using a fine iron sword and two boomerangs. The boomerang looks like a scrape, but actually when fighting a BOSS, it can deal two levels of damage when it is recovered close to the face, twice as much and as fast as a normal attack. Many guides do not mention this detail, but it is effective in actual testing.
It is not necessary to upgrade all shelters. Prioritize beds and herb fields. The earlier the herb field is established, the better. Hemostatic Herb will be used in huge amounts later on, so growing it yourself is much more efficient than searching for it all over the map. Walls and traps are not urgent, and are basically useless on speed routes. When I cleared the level, the wall was only at level two, and the traps were placed at the door with two meanings.
That pot is useless for cooking, so don't waste your time building it. If you really need a lot of food, go directly to the honeycomb to farm honey. One honey can restore 20 points of satiety without taking up the cooking process. You can cover most of the map in one run.
One final word about plot choices. In the first scene, the researcher chose to take the antibody sample or report. Choosing the antibody sample here will save a round trip later and probably save two pictures. There are options in the task assignment. Read carefully before clicking. Don't be slippery. This is a bloody lesson.
To sum up, this game is more about resource management than combat skills. Save your energy at the right time and spend your materials wisely. The clearance time and the quality of life are completely different. If you have any questions, you can reply and I will reply as soon as I see it. If you need to take a screenshot to verify the equipment and time, I can also provide it downstairs.
